I tested the Wegic AI website builder on its free plan, with no card: my three standard briefs, then a free template to get any site at all, one edit, layout and accessibility checks, and every paywall I reached. The free plan gave me no live app and no published site, only one preview, because starting a build from my brief costs a $2.99 launch fee and publishing needs a plan from $23.90 a month, billed yearly.

What Is Wegic?
Wegic is an AI website builder that you talk to. You describe a business to a chat assistant called Kimmy, and Wegic plans and builds the site.
I tested the free plan. It needs no card and gives 100 credits on sign-up. A build from a brief stops at a launch fee, and a published site needs a paid plan, so everything I measured ran on one unpublished preview.
Wegic's own home page: one prompt box.
Wegic's home page is one prompt box and a list of templates.
How I Tested Wegic
Every number here comes from my own tests. Wegic never saw the review first, and every website builder gets the same three briefs. I typed each brief into the chat, answered only from the brief, and read the result on the preview address, because the free plan cannot publish.

Wegic's three plans on 28 October 2026, billed yearly.
The page opened on yearly prices, so I did not read monthly ones. Starter is $286.80 a year and Premium is $502.80. Only Premium connects your own domain, so I graded that.

Building a Site with Wegic's AI
Wegic did not build any of my three briefs on the free plan. Each took five answers in a chat, then stopped at a launch order for $2.99, with a button that says 'Confirm Launch · Pay $2.99'. I did not pay.
The wall after my cafe brief: a $2.99 launch fee.
The five answers were: the summary, the page plan, an offer of three style pictures, my choice of style, and the plan. The cafe, the photographer and the shop reached the wall in about 10, 10 and 6 minutes, and used 14, 13 and 16 of my 100 free credits, mostly for the style pictures.
Wegic's three style pictures for the cafe.
A free template got me further. 'Use This Template' opened an editor, and the cafe brief pasted into its chat built five pages in about 10 minutes for 51 credits, with eight AI-made pictures. I did not try to give it my own logo or photos.
On that cafe preview, all 20 facts were right, with every price and hour. Wegic also added 7 claims I never gave, such as a 'house-infused' syrup and a 'Swedish-style' bun. It invented no reviews or awards.
Wegic Design on Phones and Desktops
The cafe preview looks polished but flawed. It has a dark, calm design with big photos, and my checker still counted 11 faults on its five pages.
The cafe home page Wegic built, on a laptop.
The cafe home page on a phone. The menu page on a phone.
Every page has small tap targets and pale text that fails the contrast rule. The menu page also scrolls sideways at tablet width. The three style pictures I chose from were light, but the finished site is dark.
My accessibility scan found no critical problem, but serious contrast problems on all five pages. The Tab key reached nearly every link and button, with a visible focus ring. Every image has alt text.
Editing Your Wegic Site
Wegic did the one edit I could afford. I asked in the chat for Saturday and Sunday opening at 9:00 am, and every page showed the new hours.
The edit cost 2 credits, and the meter then read 0. A panel said 'You're out of free credits', and sold 100 more for $7.99. The editor's preview said 'Startup failed', although the preview address showed the change.
So I could not run the other eleven edits or the five written instructions. I also could not try placing items freely or starting from a blank page.
Wegic Page Speed
I could not test Wegic's page speed. The only site I had was a preview on a temporary address that is not a published site, so a speed score would not describe a real Wegic page.
A published site needs a paid plan, from $23.90 a month billed yearly.
Wegic SEO: Will Google Find Your Site?
I could not grade Wegic's SEO, because a sitemap and robots file only exist on a published site. On the preview, each page had a title, a description, one main heading and alt text on every image.
The preview had no canonical tag and no structured data. The Instagram link points to instagram.com and not to the cafe's handle.
Wegic Domain, Blog and Shop
Wegic puts its business features behind a plan. A custom domain needs Premium at $41.90 a month, billed yearly. Starter gives a free wegic.net address while you pay.
The Publish panel on the free plan.
The Publish panel shows a wegic.net address, a 'Connect your own domain' row and one button: 'Upgrade and publish'. Starter's list says 'E-commerce products display and inquiry'.
The cafe preview has two forms, a contact form and a catering form. I could not test that they send email, because nothing was published.
Can You Take Your Wegic Site With You?
I could not test whether you can take your Wegic site with you. The pricing page lists code export under Starter, and my free plan had nothing published to export.
The same page says payments are not refunded and credits left at the end of a month are cleared. I did not try cancelling, because I had no plan.
Wegic Backups and Security
I did not test restoring an earlier version of a Wegic site, because my credits ran out and the editor's preview stopped loading.
The cafe preview showed no cookie banner and no privacy page, and a visitor would see no sign of either. I did not test two-factor sign-in. I signed in with Google, and Wegic asked for no card or phone number.
Wegic Help and Support
I have no answer yet from Wegic support. I emailed three questions to its contact address on 28 October 2026: connecting a domain, form emails that do not arrive, and changing the card and billing period.
The pricing page says billing questions go to a payment address and are answered within three business days. Inside the product, Kimmy is the assistant, and it answered every plan question I asked.
Final verdict: is the Wegic website builder worth it?

An accurate preview, behind a launch fee and small credits.
Wegic stopped all three of my briefs at a launch fee. A free template gave one cafe preview with all 20 facts, 11 design faults, and a credit meter that hit zero.

Hey, I'm Miles, and this is RankDude, where I test AI tools hands on and publish every number, so you can decide before you pay. Today it's Wegic, an AI website builder. I used its free plan, with no card, and gave it the same three briefs every builder gets: a cafe, a wedding photographer and a pottery shop. The short version is that no site came from my briefs on the free plan. A free template gave me one cafe preview with every fact right, but its pages fail my design check, and the free credits ended after one edit. My rating is two point three out of five, from three graded tests.
So, what is Wegic? You talk to a chat assistant called Kimmy. It asks about your business, plans the pages and builds the site. The free plan gives you one hundred credits when you sign up, and it can't publish.
Every builder gets the same briefs, word for word. Wegic took five answers for each one: a summary, the pages, an offer of style pictures, my choice of style, and the plan. Then it stopped at a launch order for two dollars ninety nine, with a button that says Confirm Launch, Pay two ninety nine. I did not pay. The wall came after about six to ten minutes, and it had used thirteen to sixteen of my hundred credits. Most of that went on the style pictures.
A free template got me further. I opened one, pasted the cafe brief into its chat, and Wegic built five pages in about ten minutes. That one build used fifty one credits, and it made eight pictures for the pages. All twenty facts of the cafe brief were on the pages, with every price and hour right. The catch is seven claims I never gave, like a house infused syrup and a Swedish style bun. They are small, but they are not mine.
Design. The cafe looks polished, with a calm dark design and big photos. But my checker counted eleven faults on five pages, mostly pale text and tiny tap targets. The menu page also scrolls sideways at tablet width. My accessibility scan found no critical problem, though every page has serious contrast problems.
Editing. I could afford one edit. I asked for Saturday and Sunday opening at nine, and every page changed. It cost two credits, and then the meter read zero. A panel said, you're out of free credits, and offered a hundred more for seven ninety nine. So eleven edits were never run.
Publishing is the next wall. The Publish panel shows a wegic dot net address, then one button: Upgrade and publish. Your own domain needs the Premium plan. So I could not test page speed, search basics, export, or support replies. I did email three questions, and no reply had come when I wrote this.
Pricing. Wegic is free to try, then two dollars ninety nine to launch. Starter is about twenty four dollars a month, billed yearly. Premium is about forty two dollars a month, billed yearly, and it's the only plan that connects your own domain. So I graded the five hundred and two dollars eighty a year.
So, my verdict. If this were my business, I would not start with Wegic's free plan, because it never built a site from my brief. It suits you if you are ready to pay, and want to plan the site in a chat. The three graded tests average two point three, and I rate Wegic two point three out of five. Every measurement is on the test results page at rankdude dot A I.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Wegic cost, and is it free?
Free to try. You get 100 credits on sign-up, which paid for one cafe build and one edit. A build from a brief starts at a $2.99 launch fee. Starter is $23.90 a month billed yearly, and Premium is $41.90 a month billed yearly. I paid nothing.
Is Wegic legit?
Probably yes. Every wall I met showed its price and I was never asked for a card. I paid nothing, so I cannot judge billing. Trustpilot blocked my visit, so I counted no user reviews.
Can I export my Wegic site or move it?
Not tested. The pricing page lists code export under Starter. My free plan had no published site to move, and I did not buy a plan.
How do I cancel Wegic, and can I get a refund?
No refunds, says the pricing page for payments, including the $2.99 Trial pack. It says you cancel from your profile menu. I had no plan, so I could not try it.
Is Wegic easy for a beginner?
Yes. You chat with an assistant called Kimmy and click answers. Each of my briefs took five answers. The credits are the hard part: style pictures and edits spend them.
Can I sell things with Wegic?
Not tested. Starter's list says 'E-commerce products display and inquiry'. I could not build a shop, so I did not test a payment.
Disclosure. I tested on the free demo account anyone can open on Wegic’s site. I signed up myself and paid Wegic nothing. Wegic didn’t see this review first and had no say in my rating. How RankDude makes money is on the disclosure page.
