I tested the Mobirise AI AI website builder hands-on on its free plan, with no card: the cafe brief, 19 facts checked, a site published to a free address, speed and accessibility tests, and every wall I reached. The free plan published a live site in about 5 minutes, but the AI made up reviews and staff.
It runs on Mobirise AI's servers, whatever the address. See the proof

What Is Mobirise AI?
Mobirise AI is an AI website builder from Mobirise that turns one written description into a website. It shows four layouts, you pick one, change it in a visual editor and publish it to a mobirisesite.com address.
I tested the free plan. Free gives 3 AI generations a month and up to 3 sites, with a Mobirise banner on every page. I did not test the Mobirise desktop app.
Mobirise AI's own home page.
How I Tested Mobirise AI
Every number here comes from my own tests. Mobirise never saw the review first, and every website builder gets the same briefs. I pasted the cafe brief into Mobirise AI, published the site on its free address and ran my tools on it.
Mobirise AI is free to start, and the cheapest paid plan, BASE, is $199 for one year. Prices read on 29 October 2026.

Building a Site with Mobirise AI
Mobirise AI made a live site about 5 minutes after I pressed Generate Website, and 2 minutes 36 seconds of that was signing in. You paste your description, sign in with Google and pick one of four layouts.
The four layouts shown after my brief.
The site is one long page. The brief asked for Home, Menu, About, Catering and Contact pages, and the AI put them all on one page, with a menu that does nothing when you click it. Publishing took about 10 seconds.
One brief used 1 of the 3 free generations, so Mobirise showed '2 generations left'. I could build the shop or photographer site later in the month, but not three of them.

Mobirise AI got 15 of 19 facts right and made things up. The brief said not to add reviews or staff, and the AI added 3 customer reviews, 3 staff cards and 6 blog posts.
A made-up customer review.
Staff cards I never asked for.
One line is wrong: it says the cafe is open 7 am to 4 pm every day. The cardamom bun and the breakfast sandwich have no price, and the Instagram name is missing. It also says the cafe has vegan pastries and uses nearby farms, which the brief never said. The reviews and staff would mislead a visitor, so delete them before you share the site.
Mobirise AI Design on Phones and Desktops
Mobirise AI's cafe site looks clean but its menu does not work. All five menu links go back to the top of the page, and so do the buttons.
The site on a desktop. The site on a phone.
On a phone the headline splits in the middle of a word, 'Neighborho' and 'od Café'. The page scrolls a little sideways at 360 pixels wide, and some tap targets are small. My design test counted 3 faults.
For accessibility, axe-core found low contrast in 10 places and 4 links with no name. If you use a keyboard, you reach 14 of 62 items, and 13 of them show no focus ring.

Editing Your Mobirise AI Site
Mobirise AI made site-wide changes in about 3 seconds. In Site Styles I changed the heading font and the main colour, and the whole page followed. Only 3 fonts are offered.
The editor with my first draft open.
Every block has a code button. On the free plan it opened a full HTML and CSS editor, so you can add your own code. I also duplicated a section in 2.5 seconds and retyped a line of text in place.
The code editor opened from a block.
'Create New Page' gave an empty page with no menu. I did 4 of the 12 edits, so editing is not graded.
Mobirise AI Page Speed
Mobirise AI's page is slow on phones. Google's speed test gave a median of 70 out of 100 across 3 phone runs, and 82 on desktop.

The main picture took 4.7 to 5.5 seconds to show on a phone. The page weighs 8.5 MB and has 57 pictures, so it is heavy on a mobile connection.
Mobirise AI Uptime Test: 30 Days on My Test Site
I'm watching my Mobirise test site for 30 days, from 29 October to 28 November 2026.
My own monitor opens the site every five minutes and records whether it answered and how fast. Mobirise hosts the site, so a Mobirise outage would show here.
Is it really Mobirise serving this site?
Yes. The address belongs to Mobirise's own hosting domain, and every answer carries Mobirise's hosting headers. Every page shows Mobirise's banner. RankDude itself runs elsewhere (Vercel).
Mobirise AI leaves most search basics out of the first draft. The page has a title and a description, but no H1, no canonical tag, no social cards and no alt text on any of its 57 pictures.

Mobirise AI Domain, Blog and Shop
Mobirise AI's contact form gave no answer. It has Name, Phone and Email boxes and no message box. I pressed 'Send Message' and nothing showed.
Every free page shows a banner, 'The site was made with Free AI Website Builder', and a custom domain is listed under the paid plans. I did not try selling, bookings or a blog, so this section is not graded.

Can You Take Your Mobirise AI Site With You?
Mobirise AI blocks the zip download on the free plan. The Publish dialog offers 'Download in .zip', and choosing it showed 'This feature is available with our premium plans'.
The wall after choosing a zip download.
The pricing page lists 'Site Export' under BASE and GROW. Ownership is not graded.
Mobirise AI Backups and Security
Mobirise AI's live site uses https and sends none of the six safety headers I check. The certificate runs to 28 March 2027, and the plain http address redirects to https.
I could not test backups or restoring an earlier version, and I did not look for two-factor sign-in. Site Settings has a cookies alert and a GDPR switch, both off, and my page showed no cookie banner.
My accessibility results are in the design section.
Mobirise AI Help and Support
Mobirise AI's free site shows one email address, support@mobirise.com, in a 'Report Abuse' link. I sent my three standard questions there on 29 October 2026.
No reply had come when I wrote this, so support is not graded. I did not use a chat or a form.
Final verdict: is the Mobirise AI website builder worth it?
3.3

A very fast draft that needs a careful clean-up.
Mobirise AI built a cafe site in about 5 minutes, but 15 of 19 facts were right and it made up reviews and staff. The menu links go nowhere.

Hey, I'm Miles, and this is RankDude, where I test A I tools hands on and publish every number, so you can decide before you pay. Today it's Mobirise A I, an A I website builder. I used its free plan, with no card, and gave it the standard cafe brief. The short version is that it builds a very fast first draft, but only fifteen of nineteen facts were right, and it made up customer reviews and staff. The menu links go nowhere. My rating is three point three out of five, from five graded tests.
So, what is Mobirise A I? You describe a website in one box, and it shows you four layouts. You pick one, change it in a visual editor, and publish it to a free address. The free plan gives three A I generations a month, and a Mobirise banner on every page.
I pasted the cafe brief word for word into one box and signed in with Google. Four layouts appeared. I chose the first and pressed publish. The site was live about five minutes after I started, and the sign in was half of that. That scores five. But the site is one long page. The brief asked for five pages, and the A I put everything on one.
Did it stick to my facts? Fifteen of nineteen were on the page, and one line gave the wrong opening hours. Worse, it made things up. It wrote three customer reviews with names, three staff cards with stock photos, and six blog posts. The brief said not to. That scores two out of five.
Design. The site looks clean, but every menu link goes back to the top of the page. On a phone, the headline splits in the middle of a word. My design test counted three faults, which scores four.
Editing. Changing the font or the main colour updated the whole page in about three seconds. Every block also has a code button that opened a full code editor, even on the free plan. I finished four of the twelve edits, so editing is not graded.
Speed. On phones, Google's speed test gave a median of seventy out of one hundred, and eighty two on desktop. The page weighs eight and a half megabytes. The site is live, so my monitor opens it every five minutes for thirty days.
Now, what the free plan blocked. The contact form has no message box, and when I pressed send, nothing happened. Choosing the zip download said this feature is available with our premium plans. And I emailed Mobirise support, but no reply had come.
Pricing. Free is zero dollars. The cheapest paid plan, Base, is one hundred and ninety nine dollars for one year. It adds your own domain, the export, and removes the banner. The page does not show a renewal price.
So, my verdict. It did the building job very fast, but you must clean up what it made up. I would only use it as a rough draft. It suits you if you will check every line. The five graded tests average three point six, and I rate Mobirise A I three point three out of five.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Mobirise AI cost, and is it free?
Free to start. Free gives 3 AI generations a month and up to 3 sites with a banner. BASE is $199 for one year and GROW is $249 for one year. The renewal price is not shown.
Is Mobirise AI legit?
Yes, it works. It built and published the site I asked for with no card. It also made up reviews and staff, and I paid nothing, so I could not test billing or a refund.
Can I export my Mobirise AI site or move it?
Paid plans only. Choosing 'Download in .zip' on Free showed 'This feature is available with our premium plans'.
How do I cancel Mobirise AI, and can I get a refund?
Not tested. The free plan has no cancel step. The pricing page says you can cancel with one click and get your money back within 14 days of the first order. I did not buy a plan.
Is Mobirise AI easy for a beginner?
Yes, to start. You paste a description and pick a layout. But you must delete the made-up reviews and staff, and the menu links need fixing by hand.
Can I sell things on Mobirise AI?
Not tested. My brief had no shop. The pricing page lists extensions such as Simple Shop, Smart Cart and a PayPal cart, which I did not use.
Disclosure. I tested on the free demo account anyone can open on Mobirise AI’s site. I signed up myself and paid Mobirise AI nothing. Mobirise AI didn’t see this review first and had no say in my rating. How RankDude makes money is on the disclosure page.
