Miles explains

6 of 6 in range is honest, not perfect. The biggest miss was September 2026 (-7%), the kind of month when one big site jumps. That’s why the range is wide.

2What is the market doing now?

Visits are up on a year ago (+18%), and the last three months were lower than the three before. Name searches are down (-16% since October 2025). Recent months are getting weaker, yet the forecast expects October 2026 to be up on September 2026, because it averages September 2026 with the months before it, which were higher. The backtest below shows how often this method calls the direction right.

Miles explains

Big green or red bars are usually one site winning or losing a Google ranking, not the whole market moving. What I watch is the last three months against the three before: -4%.

3Is October usually a big month or a quiet one?

No seasonal pattern is used in this forecast: the five-year Google Trends series for "ai scheduling assistant" has too many empty months (22 of 60, the last in May 2024) to read a seasonal pattern from.

On the calendar, October brings the start of the fourth quarter and next year's budget planning. Once the Google Trends series for the term can be read month by month, this section scores each month against an average month and tests whether that helps the forecast.

4What to expect in October 2026

6What the forecast expects for the ten most-visited sites

The forecast expects SavvyCal (+4%), Acuity Scheduling (+3%), Cal.com (+18%) and Chili Piper (+5%) to rise, and Calendly (-4%) and YouCanBookMe (-3%) to fall; the rest are within 3% of September 2026. Single sites are harder to forecast than the whole market, so their ranges are wider.

Together the ten come to 5,447,636, inside the market forecast of 5,564,642 for every tracked site.

Miles explains

Cal.com has the biggest expected rise (+18%). Single sites are much harder to call than the whole market, so read these as direction, not promises.

7What could change the forecast

What could knock October 2026 off course:

  • A big site winning or losing a page-one position for “ai scheduling assistant”.
  • A Google update.
  • A site going offline.
  • A news story that spikes interest for a week and then fades.

None of these are in the numbers until they happen, which is why the range exists.
