Terms and privacy change watcher
Reads the agent's terms, privacy policy and key help pages every day, compares each with the day before and alerts me when the text changes, so a review can say when they last changed.

What the terms and privacy change watcher is
What an agent may do with your files, your data and your account is written in its terms and privacy policy, and vendors change those pages without telling anyone. A review that quotes them needs to know when they move. This watcher reads the pages daily and keeps a dated record of every change it sees.
The help pages that state the free plan's limits are watched too, so a quiet change to a limit is caught even before the price and limits tracker reads it.
Runs on: The same edge program as the uptime monitor. Manus: 5 pages watched, 0 changes seen.
How it works
- Once a day it fetches every watched page. A normal page gives up its visible text. Some vendors draw their terms with a script instead of sending the text, so for those it reads the script bundle that carries the text.
- A read that comes back far too short is treated as an error, not as a change, so a broken page never looks like a rewrite.
- It picks the date the page states for its own last update, when the page states one.
- It takes a fingerprint of the text and compares it with the last fingerprint. The same fingerprint only updates the time of the read.
- A different fingerprint is a change: it stores the date, how many paragraphs were added and removed, the first added and the first removed line, and whether the page's stated date moved, and sends me a phone alert.
- A page that cannot be read is marked with its error and alerts once, when it first breaks. Pages never read before are tried again every few minutes until they are.
- The result is exported with the uptime figures every 3 hours and the site is rebuilt. Review sentences about the terms and the privacy policy follow the watcher by themselves.
What it records
- Per page
- Address, legal or limits group, status, the date the page states, when it was first and last read, the fingerprint and the size of the text.
- Per change
- Date, a short summary (paragraphs added and removed, the first lines of each) and the stated date before and after.
- Health
- The daily health check flags an export older than three days or a page in error, and notes any change seen in the last three days.
What it holds today
Read from the monitor’s data file when this page was built. Every reviewed agent is added when its review is made.

What it cannot catch
- It sees only what changed after the watch began. Earlier changes are known only from the date the page states.
- The summary is a line count and two sample lines, not a full comparison. Reading what a change means is my job, which is why it alerts me.
- Pages drawn by a script depend on a marker in the bundle. If the vendor rebuilds its site, the watcher reports an error until the marker is updated.
