I tested Genspark, an AI agent that does jobs for you in a web browser, with the same written tasks every agent gets. The café in the tasks is made up, so I could check every answer against a key I wrote first.

What Is Genspark?
Genspark is an AI agent workspace: you type a job, and its Super Agent does it on its own cloud computer. It reads pages, runs code and makes files. I tested it on 28 October 2026 on the free plan, in Standard mode, signed in with Google and with no card.
Genspark Inc. is owned by MainFunc Inc., which the terms name as the operator (Terms of Service, updated 2 April 2026). The terms give no country or address, and Trustpilot lists the United States. The home page also offers Slides, Sheets, Docs, Code, Design and a Second Brain notes area.

How I Tested Genspark
I tested Genspark with the same 22 jobs every agent gets, typed word for word, with a new chat for each job. The jobs are set in a made-up café, and I checked every answer against a key I wrote first.
I also checked every file with a program. The free plan gave me 100 credits once, and I did not buy anything or connect any account.
You pay $24.99 a month for the cheapest paid Genspark plan, Plus, and it gives 10,000 credits. Paying yearly costs $19.99 a month.
The free plan gave me 100 credits, used up by 8 jobs. The Help Center says free accounts get 100 credits a day, but a minute after midnight UK time on 29 October I still had 0. Prices read on 28 October 2026.

Did Genspark Finish the Jobs I Gave It?
Genspark finished 5 of 8 jobs with every point right, in the 8 jobs I had credits for. The easy jobs went well: a web lookup, a basket, a meeting time, an inbox and a translation.
The other 3 jobs had small mistakes. The orders total was £90 too low, the booking reference had a full stop I did not ask for, and the policy numbered its headings. Most jobs took under 2 minutes.
How the 8 jobs ended. 2 were called done when they were not.
Genspark Research at Scale Tested
I could not test Genspark's research on 30 cafés, because the free credits ran out first. The 100 credits finished 8 jobs, and the next job was refused at once.
The contact list and the 60-page handbook need a second day of credits too. I did not guess how they would go.
Eight jobs used all 100 credits, so the 30-café research could not start.
Can You Trust What Genspark Reports?
Genspark said "done" on 2 jobs where something was wrong, so you should check its work. The orders total was £90 too low, because it left out 2 good rows. The booking reference kept a full stop from my prompt.
It made up no phone number or email. It said which rows it left out, and it told me about each sneaky instruction it met.
Its chart, drawn from 195 rows. The total is 90 pounds below my key.
Slides, Sheets and Documents From Genspark
Genspark made a Word file and a calendar file, and both opened. The policy had all 5 facts on one page, but it numbered the headings 1 to 5 and said so. I did not test its slides or sheets.
The Spanish and German translation kept every number, and the sales chart had labels. I did not test image making.
The policy answer, with the Word file ready to download.
Can Genspark Build a Website or an App?
I did not test whether Genspark can build a website or an app, because the credits ran out first. The home page shows Design, Code and Dashboard tiles for building.
The Billing page lists AI Slides and Genspark Code under what a paid plan unlocks.
The building tiles on Genspark's home page. I did not run them.
Can Genspark Use Apps and Websites for You?
Genspark did 3 of 4 jobs on websites and files that I could run, and the booking form was wrong by one full stop. It worked in its own browser on its own cloud computer, not on my screen.
It filled the basket and stopped before Pay now. The meeting invite was a draft file that sent nothing. I did not test the trip job or a login.
The basket Genspark filled. Pay now was left alone.
Where You Can Use Genspark: Browser, Phone, Desktop and Chat Apps
Genspark works in a web browser, and its Help Center lists many more routes. I used only the browser. The Help Center lists a Chrome extension, a desktop terminal, iPhone and Android apps, Slack, iMessage and LINE chat links, and an API.
Connecting your chat apps gives 1,000 credits, but that means linking your own accounts, so I did not press Connect. The Connectors page says it links apps, APIs and MCP servers.
The connectors page. Nothing is connected, and I pressed nothing.
What Genspark Does When Something Goes Wrong
Genspark told me plainly when my credits ended: "You've used all your credits. Kindly visit this page to add more: upgrade". It did not start the job.
A window with the paid plans opened over the page first.
I did not run the 7 snag jobs, so I cannot say how it handles a missing file, a dead link or a human check.
What Genspark says when the credits are gone.
Watching, Stopping and Taking Over a Genspark Task
Genspark shows each step in the chat, but I did not test watching, stopping or taking over a job. The steps read like Parallel Read, Bash Command and Thought for 4 seconds.
It works on its own cloud computer, so it ran code and a browser I could not see. Each chat has a Share button.
The end of a Genspark answer, with its note about a sneaky instruction.
How Fast and Consistent Is Genspark?
Genspark took about 1.6 minutes for a job, and the slowest was 3 minutes. I did not run any job three times, so I cannot say whether repeat runs agree.
The Help Center says a job keeps running if you close your laptop. I did not test that.
Minutes each job took on the clock. The typical job took 1.6 minutes.

I open Genspark's own website and sign-in page every 5 minutes, since –. This is the vendor's product, not a test app of mine: an AI agent has no site for me to host.
Genspark Memory and Reusable Work
Genspark has a memory page on the free plan, and I did not test whether it remembers. Settings, Personalization has boxes for a nickname, a job and a short profile. It also lists traits such as Chatty or Skeptical.
Custom instructions are locked behind a paid plan: the box is marked "Upgrade to Plus". I did not run the memory jobs, because the credits ran out first.
Personalization settings. Custom instructions are for paid plans.
What Genspark Credits Really Cost
Genspark gave me 100 free credits, and 8 jobs used them all. A job cost 6 to 19 credits, and the home page says a Standard message costs about 10 to 60.
At 0 credits the next job was refused, and still was a minute after midnight UK time on 29 October. I found no spending limit. The Help Center says only that a job blocked by the safety filter is refunded.

Is Genspark Safe to Give Control?
Genspark followed none of 4 sneaky instructions I planted in a page, a file, an email and a calendar, and it told me about 3 of them. It sent and deleted nothing.
I did not run the 8 moments where it should ask first, such as sending or deleting, because the credits ran out.

Genspark Support, Privacy and How to Cancel
Genspark gives support@genspark.ai and a Support item in its menu. I emailed one question on 28 October 2026, and no reply has been read yet. I found no student price in the Help Center.
Genspark's terms and privacy page say it stores data on Microsoft Azure and may store it in the United States. If you close your account, it says it deletes your account data within 30 days.
An AI Data Retention switch, on by default, lets Genspark use your searches to improve its models. I did not delete anything.

What I Could Not Test on Genspark Free
I could not test 13 of the 21 jobs on Genspark, nor the 7 snags, the 8 moments to ask first, repeat runs and memory, because the free credits ran out. The jobs left out include the research report, slides, invoice sheet, handbook, recording, image, trip, website and staff app.
I also did not test paid features: video and music, the Chrome extension, custom instructions, team plans, connected Gmail and Calendar, the phone apps, the checkout, and deleting a task or an account.
Final verdict: is Genspark worth it?
Genspark did most jobs it had credits for, and I recommend it for small online jobs that you check yourself.
Genspark read pages, sorted an inbox, made a Word file and kept every number in a translation. But it said done on 2 jobs that were wrong, and its free credits ended after 8 jobs.
Genspark measures 3.3 out of 5 in my tests, based on 3 tests. I made no change to that number, because most tests could not run.
The whole test in a few minutes: 8 fixed tasks, what each cost in credits, sneaky instructions, the credit wall and the verdict. Captions and the full transcript are one click away.

Hi, I'm Miles, and this is RankDude. I test AI tools hands on and publish every number, so you can decide before you pay. Today it's Genspark, an AI agent. I gave it the same fixed jobs every agent gets, in a made-up café. Genspark did five of the eight jobs it had credits for. It said done on two jobs that were wrong. The free plan gave me one hundred credits, and eight jobs used them all. My tests give three point three out of five.
Genspark is an AI agent workspace. You type a job, and its Super Agent does the job on its own cloud computer. It reads pages, runs code and makes files. The terms say Genspark is owned by a company called MainFunc, and they give no address. I used the free plan, in Standard mode, and I did not enter a card.
Genspark finished five of eight jobs with every point right. For every job, I check the answer against a key I wrote first. The easy jobs went well. Genspark found four facts on three pages, filled my basket, found a meeting time, sorted fifteen emails, and kept every number in a translation. The other three jobs had small mistakes. The orders total was ninety pounds too low, and the booking reference had a full stop I did not ask for. Most jobs took under two minutes.
I could not test Genspark's research on thirty cafés, because the free credits ran out first. The hundred credits finished eight jobs, and the next job was refused at once. The contact list and the sixty-page handbook were left out for the same reason.
Genspark said done on two jobs where something was wrong, so check its work. In the orders file, it found all three problems, but it also left out two good rows, so its total was ninety pounds too low. On the booking form, the reference kept a full stop from my prompt. It made up no phone number or email, and it told me which rows it left out.
I did not test whether Genspark can build a website or an app, because the credits ran out first. The home page shows Design, Code and Dashboard tiles for building. The Billing page lists AI Slides and Genspark Code under what a paid plan unlocks.

Genspark followed none of the four sneaky instructions I planted in a page, a file, an email and a calendar. It told me about three of them. It also did not send, pay, post, share or delete anything. I did not run the eight moments where it should ask me first, because the credits ran out.
I did not test whether Genspark remembers. Its settings have boxes for a nickname, a job and a short profile. Custom instructions are locked behind a paid plan.
A Genspark job cost between six and nineteen credits. A translation cost six, and a Word file nine. The home page shows a typical range before you send, ten to sixty credits for the Standard mode. At zero credits the next job was refused, and it was still refused a minute after midnight. I found no spending limit.
Genspark gives a support email address and a Support item in its menu. I sent one question, and I have not read a reply yet. Its privacy page says your data is stored on Microsoft Azure, and it deletes your account data within thirty days of closing. A switch lets you keep your searches out of model training. I found no student price.

But it said done on two jobs that were wrong, and its free credits ended after eight jobs. My tests give three point three out of five, from three tests. Frequently asked questions
How much does Genspark cost, and is there a free plan?
Genspark has a free plan. The Help Center says 100 credits a day up to a lifetime allowance, but I got 100 once and none a minute after midnight UK time on 29 October. Plus costs $24.99 a month and Pro costs $249.99 a month. Paying yearly costs $19.99 and $199.99 a month. I paid nothing.
Is Genspark legit and does it really work?
Genspark is a real working product, and I recommend it only for small jobs you check yourself. It finished most jobs I could run, but it said done on 2 jobs that were wrong. Trustpilot shows 489 reviews and no score.
Is Genspark safe?
Genspark followed none of the sneaky instructions I met, and it told me about 3 of them. Its terms say your data is stored on Microsoft Azure, and an AI Data Retention switch lets you keep your searches out of model training. I did not run the approval tests.
How do I cancel Genspark and get a refund?
To cancel, you close the plan in the billing page, then use Settings, Account, Delete User and an email link. Refunds: 72 hours for most customers, 14 days in the EU and UK, and only if you used under 50%. I did not buy a plan, so I did not walk this.
Who owns Genspark?
Genspark says it is operated by MainFunc Inc., and Genspark Inc. is its wholly owned subsidiary (Terms of Service, updated 2 April 2026). The terms do not say what happens to your data if the company is sold.
Is Genspark better than other AI agents?
I tested only Genspark and make no comparison. See the list of AI agent tools for the other agents I test, each on the same jobs.
Disclosure. I tested on the free demo account anyone can open on Genspark’s site. I signed up myself and paid Genspark nothing. Genspark didn’t see this review first and had no say in my rating. How RankDude makes money is on the disclosure page.
