Every month I measure Google visits to the 26 AI coding agent sites I track, and how often people search for them by name. In September 2026 they got about 6.1 million visits, 78% more than a year ago but 23% fewer than in August 2026.

- The tracked sites got 6,056,581 visits from Google in September 2026, 78% more than a year ago and 23% fewer than in August 2026. Gemini CLI made most of the move in September 2026: it lost 1,688,311 of the market's 1,792,054 visits; without it, visits to the other sites fell 2.4% on August 2026.
- “ai agents for coding” gets about 390 US searches a month. People searched the site names 399,270 times in the US in September 2026, 41% more often than in October 2025.
- 1 tracked site is on Google’s first page for “ai agents for coding”; the highest is OpenCode at position 2. Gemini CLI is the most-visited site.
