Growing, but visits are down 29% since March 2026.

Over two years, visits went from 1.8M in November 2024 to a high of 3.5M in December 2024, fell to 2.1M in August 2026, and recovered to 2.3M in October 2026. Much of the year’s change is one site, CoCounsel, which is why I also look at the market without it.

I only call a market growing when visits and name searches agree. Here visits are up and name searches are up, so they agree.

“ai lawyer” is searched about 49,500 times a month worldwide, 37% of it in the US.

Google Trends barely registered “ai lawyer” until August 2025; interest then climbed to its peak in May 2026. Americans make 37% of the searches but only 32% of the visits, because the big sites also draw heavily from United Kingdom, India and Canada.

Fewer visits than a year ago only because of CoCounsel, but more people searching by name, and the next six months look flat.

The fastest growers over the year, DoNotPay and Clio Duo, grew fastest, mostly from a smaller base. The losers, led by StrongSuit, lost most of their search visits (-100%).
