My rating
3.4/5Average
A whole site in about a minute. It made up 24 customer quotes and is slow on phones.
Best for: a fast first draft, live in seconds, that you rewrite before selling anything. Not for publishing its text unread.
I tested the Durable AI website builder on its free plan and one month of Launch: 3 sites from my standard briefs, 60 facts checked, 12 edits and a published shop. Each site was built in about a minute, the shop was live 4 seconds after Publish, and all 12 edits worked. It got 54 of 60 facts right but made up 24 customer quotes, and the phone speed score was 48.
It runs on Durable's servers, whatever the address. See the proof

What Is Durable?
Durable is an AI business builder that makes a small-business website in about a minute. You answer four short questions and add a description, and its AI writes the pages, picks the design and finds photos for you.
I tested the free plan first, which needs no card, and then one month of Launch on the shop. The free plan builds each site and shows it at a private preview address; Launch publishes it. Durable also sells a customer list, bookings, a shop, a blog writer and AI helpers, paid with AI credits.
Durable's own home page.
How I Tested Durable
Every number here comes from my own tests. Durable never saw the review first, and every website builder gets the same three briefs. I pasted each brief into Durable, ran my tools on the preview addresses, and ran the live tests on the shop, the one site I could publish.

The plan I used was Launch, billed monthly: $25.00 for the first month, and the billing portal shows $25.00 again on 28 November 2026 (the app says the 29th). That is the same price at renewal. A plan covers one site, so my three sites would cost three plans. I did not buy a yearly plan, so a yearly renewal is not tested. If you need three sites, you pay for three plans.

Building a Site with Durable's AI
Durable builds a whole site in about a minute. It asks four short questions: the kind of business, where it is, its name and a phone number. Then a last screen takes a description, and I pasted each brief there.
The last screen before the build.
The finished drafts were on screen after 60 seconds for the shop, 70 for the photographer and 81 for the cafe. Each has a menu, a contact form, stock photos and a footer. The cafe first showed a carpentry placeholder, which went away within a minute, so wait before you judge the draft.
The shop then went live on Launch: 4 seconds after I pressed Publish its page answered at a durable.site address, so brief to live was about 64 seconds. A plan covers one business, so the cafe and the photographer stayed previews.
Of my 60 facts, 54 were right, 4 were wrong and 2 were missing. The cafe said 'open Tuesday to Sunday', and two prices differed between pages. The AI also made up 24 customer quotes, 2 staff members and 4 products, although my briefs said not to add reviews or staff.

Durable Design on Phones and Desktops
Durable's drafts look polished but crowded on phones. A designer could have made them, and my checker still counted 36 faults on 21 pages.
The cafe on a phone. The photographer on a phone. The shop on a phone.
The same two faults repeat: small tap targets, and the round 'Built with Durable' badge sitting over text at the bottom of every phone screen. The photographer's pages also have white text on photos that fails the contrast rule. Nothing scrolled sideways.
Switching templates works. Themes shows six options, each with your edited text already in it, and 'Undo theme' keeps the old one if you do not like them.

Editing Your Durable Site
Durable lets you edit with clicks or sentences. Each section has a toolbar to move, restyle or edit it, and an AI Edit button that changes a section from one written line.
On the cafe, 11 of my 12 edits worked on the free plan. A font took 4 clicks and a colour change 6, and a headline, a button link, a form field, a footer line and a phone-only change each took one sentence and about 20 seconds. A new FAQ page took a minute, but I had to add its menu link by hand.
Custom code on Launch: the embed test, enabled.
The AI answered 'Raw HTML cannot be injected here' when I asked twice for an embed. On Launch, Custom code took my test line and it was live within 10 seconds, so all 12 of 12 edits can be done. AI edits use credits: the free 100 ran out after the three builds and about ten AI actions.

Phones waited long for the main picture, 5.2 to 7.0 seconds, and pages weigh 1.7 to 2.2 MB. The free preview addresses of all three sites gave the same median of 48. If most of your visitors are on phones, you will feel it.
Durable Uptime Test: 30 Days on My Test Shop
I'm watching my Durable test shop for 30 days, from 29 October to 28 November 2026.
My own monitor opens the site every five minutes and records whether it answered and how fast. Durable hosts the site, so a Durable outage would show here.
Is it really Durable serving this site?
Yes. The address belongs to Durable's own hosting domain, and every answer carries a Durable page-route header. Every page posts its cart and contact form to Durable. RankDude itself runs elsewhere (Vercel).
Durable gets eight of twelve SEO basics onto a live page. Each page has an editable title, description and slug, and the shop has a sitemap, canonical tags, structured data and social-card tags.

Hiding the site from search needs a Save after the switch: the toggle alone did not stick. After Save the pages said 'noindex, nofollow' within 15 seconds. The SEO and GEO screen scored the shop 10 out of 100, 'Low visibility'.
A page's SEO tab: social image, description and a remove-from-sitemap switch.
Durable Domain, Blog and Shop
Durable gives seven of twelve business points on Launch: a blog, an AI post, bookings, a shipping rate, tax, digital products and analytics. Checkout, form email, a connected domain, variants and email marketing did not pass.
Checkout on the live shop before payments are set up.
I did not set up payments, so the cart ended at 'Checkout coming soon'. The contact form answered 'Access denied' in my test browser, which Durable's human check probably refused, so I cannot say whether messages reach an inbox. The item form has a sale price, no variants and no stock count.
The blog gave five topic ideas in 35 seconds and a post in about 100 seconds, but it ignored my 300-word limit and wrote about 1,800 words of general pottery facts. A flat $8 shipping rate worked; 'free over $100' is not possible. You can pick delivery or pickup on each item.
Can You Take Your Durable Site With You?
Durable shows no export for the site. The help centre's search for 'export my website' found a customer CSV export and a sitemap article, and nothing for pages, posts or products.
The terms say you keep ownership of your data. They also call fees non-refundable and say a plan renews unless you cancel; the plan page's 30-day refund is the exception.
If you want to cancel, go to Settings, Billing and usage, Cancel plan. The plan stays active to the end of the billing period. I did not press it. Restoring an earlier version was not tested: I found only Undo notes.
Billing and usage on the paid shop: plan, next payment and the cancel button.
Durable Backups and Security
Durable's shop sends four headers of the six I check and forces https. It lacks X-Frame-Options and Permissions-Policy. The certificate I read on the preview address ran until 13 December 2026.
The account settings show Profile, Business details, Team, Currency and Tax, Invoices and Billing. I found no two-factor setting. Currency is USD and the tax setting is one default percentage.
The live shop shows no cookie banner and loads a visitor-analytics script; the help centre has a cookie notice bar article, and Custom code takes a banner. I could not test backups or a restore. Accessibility is covered in the design section: Lighthouse scored the live pages 100, but the photographer's preview pages have serious contrast problems.
Durable Help and Support
Durable's live chat answered in 25 seconds, but it is an AI agent, and one of three answers was wrong. No person replied in my test.
The help panel: centre, email, chat, a screen-share booking.
I asked the three questions you would ask first. The domain answer had the right idea but the wrong menu name, the form answer sent me to a 'Contact email field' I could not find, and the card answer was right. The chat said the team would be back online tomorrow, and the email from 28 October had no reply. The help centre answered 3 of 5 searches.
Durable Reviews: What Other Users Say
Trustpilot says 4.8 from 333 reviews, read on 28 October 2026. The profile is claimed and marked 'Paid Trustpilot subscription', and Durable replies to 50% of negative reviews.
Durable on Trustpilot, 28 October 2026.
Of the first 20 reviews on the page, 19 give five stars. They mostly praise named support agents and an easy builder. The one three-star review says the AI 'put a lot of things on the site that I didn't want'.
I did not count G2 or Capterra, and I did not read the star counts below five.
Final verdict: is the Durable website builder worth it?
3.4
out of 5
A very fast builder that made up its customers' words.
Durable built three multi-page sites in about a minute each and published the shop in 4 seconds, but it made up 24 quotes, the pages have 36 design faults, and each site needs its own plan.

You will rewrite every quote and claim
You like editing with one sentence
Skip it if
You need honest copy without checking

Hey, I'm Miles, and this is RankDude, where I test AI tools hands on and publish every number, so you can decide before you pay. Today it's Durable, an AI website builder. I tried it on its free plan first, and then on one month of its Launch plan, with the same three briefs every builder gets: a cafe, a wedding photographer and a pottery shop. The short version is that it builds a whole site in about a minute, my shop went live four seconds after I pressed Publish, and all twelve of my edits worked. But it made up twenty four customer quotes that my briefs told it not to add, the pages fail my design check, and phones load them slowly. My rating is three point four out of five, from ten tests.
So, what is Durable? It asks four short questions: the kind of business, where it is, its name and a phone number. Then there's one last box for a description, and that's where I pasted each brief. The AI writes the pages, picks the design and finds photos. One catch: a Durable plan covers one business. So only my pottery shop went live, and the cafe and the photographer stayed free previews.
Every builder gets the same briefs, word for word. The shop was on screen after sixty seconds, the photographer after seventy, and the cafe after eighty one. Then I pressed Publish on the shop. Four seconds later its page answered at a live address, so from brief to live site took about a minute. That scores five.
Did it stick to my facts? Mostly. Fifty four of my sixty were right. The cafe said it was open Tuesday to Sunday, and two prices differed between pages. But my briefs said not to add reviews or staff, and Durable added twenty four customer quotes, two staff members and four products. Some were signed Person one, Person two. That scores two.
Design. The drafts look polished, but my checker counted thirty six faults on twenty one pages. Mostly tiny buttons, and a round badge that sits over the text on phones. The photographer's pages also have white text on photos that fails the contrast rule. That scores one.
Editing is quick. All twelve of my edits worked. A font took four clicks, colours took six, and a headline, a button link, a form field and a phone only change each took one sentence to the AI helper, in about twenty seconds. Embedding raw code was refused by the AI. But on the paid plan, a custom code screen took it, and my line was live ten seconds later. That scores five.
Speed is the weak spot. Google's test gave a median of forty eight on phones across eighteen runs on the live shop, and the main picture took five to seven seconds to show. On desktop it was eighty four. That scores two.
For search, eight of my twelve basics were there. Each page has its own title, description and address, plus a sitemap and structured data. But the product pages have no main heading, I couldn't edit the robots file, and hiding the site from Google needs a save button that's easy to miss. That scores three.
On the business side, the blog wrote me five topic ideas, and a full post from one request, though it ignored my three hundred word limit and wrote about eighteen hundred. The cart and shipping worked, but when I pressed checkout, it said checkout coming soon, because payments were never set up. The contact form also refused my test with an access denied message. That scores three.
I found no way to export the site, although the terms say the content is yours. To cancel, you open billing and usage and press cancel plan. That scores two. Support was fast but not always right. The live chat answered in about twenty five seconds, but it is an AI agent, and one of its three answers sent me to a field that does not exist. No person replied. That scores three.
Pricing. Durable is free to preview, then twenty five dollars a month for Launch, or twenty two dollars a month on yearly billing. Each site needs its own plan, so three sites cost three plans. My monthly bill showed the same price on its next billing date, so the price doesn't jump at renewal. That scores three.
So, my verdict. Durable did the main job: it built a multi page site in about a minute, put it live in seconds and let me change it quickly. But it didn't do the job I set, because it added quotes and people I never gave. I wouldn't recommend it as it comes. It suits you if you want a fast first draft and will rewrite every quote and claim. The ten tests average two point nine. The free plan let me run five of ten tests, and the build was very fast and every edit worked, so I added point five, and I rate Durable three point four out of five. Every measurement is on the test results page, linked below.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Durable cost, and is it free?
Free to preview. The free plan costs $0 and builds a private preview but cannot publish. Launch is $22 a month on yearly billing or $25 billed monthly, per site, and Grow is $41 or $49. A monthly Launch bill showed the same price on its next billing date.
Is Durable legit?
Mostly yes. It built what I asked, published in seconds and took one payment for the plan. Its Trustpilot score is 4.8 from 333 reviews, and the profile is a paid Trustpilot one. Its AI invents customer quotes, so check every line.
Can I export my Durable site or move it?
No export found. I found no download of the site, and the help centre's only export article covers customer lists as a CSV file. The terms say you keep ownership of your data. A domain bought through Durable can move after three months on a plan.
How do I cancel Durable, and can I get a refund?
Cancel plan in Billing and usage. The plan stays active to the end of the billing period. The plan page promises a full refund if you message within 30 days of your first payment. I did not press the button.
Is Durable easy for a beginner?
Yes, to start. You answer four questions and get a draft in about a minute, and a sentence to the AI helper changes a section. It writes quotes and claims you did not give, and an AI chat answer sent me to a field I could not find.
Can I sell things on Durable?
Payments first. The shop has seven item types, delivery or pickup and a flat shipping rate. Until payments are set up the cart says 'Checkout coming soon'. I did not set up payments, so I placed no test order.
Disclosure. I tested on a Durable plan RankDude paid for at the public price. Durable didn’t see this review first and had no say in my rating. How RankDude makes money is on the disclosure page.
