I gave the Zite app builder the same brief every builder gets, a booking app for a made-up Pilates studio, and I used only its free plan, with no card and nothing paid. I built the app, ran 24 checks on the live app, attacked it twice, ran seven of the twelve changes, measured its speed and looked for a code export, until the free plan's limits stopped me.
Every measurement is in the Zite test results.
What I paid for, and what I built on Zite
Live and monitoredI built one app, from one brief, on the free plan. It is as Zite made it, plus seven changes. I used separate accounts for a member, a coach and two admins to try each screen:

What Is Zite?
Zite is an AI builder for business apps. You describe the app in a chat, and it builds the screens, a database and the sign-in, then publishes the app on a Zite address. It is made by Restly, Inc., the company behind the Fillout forms tool, and it pitches itself at teams that want to run their operations on one system.
I tested the free plan, which I signed up for myself and paid nothing for. You get unlimited apps and users, 5,000 records and 10 messages a day, and the Zite badge stays on your app. Pro is $25 a month and Business is $89.
How I Tested Zite
Every number here comes from my own tests and my own monitors. Nothing is estimated or copied, Zite never saw the review first, and every app builder gets the same brief, checks, changes and attacks. I used Zite's free plan, so some tests could not run. This review is based on eight graded tests. I left out two: payments and emails need accounts of yours, and support has not yet answered my questions.
My tools
Zite pros and cons
Pros
- Live app in 11 minutes, no card
- 22 of 24 checks passed first time
- Both access attacks blocked
- Every change I ran worked
- Any data table exports as CSV on Free
- Honest about what it left out
Cons
- Ten messages a day stop the changes
- A custom domain needs a paid plan
- No code download that I could find
- Emailed links only, no passwords
- First person to choose admin becomes admin
- The Zite badge stays on the free app
Zite Pricing
The free plan was enough to build and publish my test app. Going further means Pro, which adds a custom domain, removes the Zite badge and lifts the daily message limit. Prices read on 27 October 2026: Pro is $25 a month, or $20 a month billed yearly.
Zite plans and prices
| Plan | Price a month | |
|---|---|---|
| Free50 credits a month, 10 messages a day, 1 workspace, 5,000 records. The plan I used | $0 | 50 credits a month, 10 messages a day, 1 workspace, 5,000 records. The plan I used |
| Pro100 credits, 3 workspaces, 100,000 records, one custom domain, no Zite badge | $25 | 100 credits, 3 workspaces, 100,000 records, one custom domain, no Zite badge |
| Business400 credits, 5 workspaces, 250,000 records, unlimited domains, advanced AI models, fast mode | $89 | 400 credits, 5 workspaces, 250,000 records, unlimited domains, advanced AI models, fast mode |
Zite Cost: What My Test App Really Cost
Here is the number you will ask about first. In total I paid nothing. The free plan gave me 150 credits this month with the bonus credits, and I used about 25 of them. The cost is in the limits instead: ten messages a day and no custom domain.
What my app cost
| What I used | Amount |
|---|---|
| Money I paid | $0 |
| Message credits used | 25.5 of 150 |
| Messages sent in one day | 10 of 10 |
| App requests used in my tests | 553 of 1,000 |
| Total I paid | $0 |
At Pro's price of $25 for 100 credits, 25 credits is about $6. So the build and seven changes are cheap, if you can send the messages. Running the app costs more: my own checks used 553 of the 1,000 runs a month that Free allows, so a busy studio would pass that and need Pro. I did not test what 1,000 bookings a month would cost.
Zite Build Speed: Two Messages to a Live App
Zite's first answer was small. In about half a minute it set up the app with a sign-in and nothing inside, and asked me to connect Stripe and an email account. I could not do that on a free test, so I told it to build everything else.
That second message built the timetable, bookings, the capacity rule, class credits, the three role screens, the admin's tools and the Ask the studio form, in about seven minutes. I published, and the app was live on Zite's address about eleven minutes after my brief.
Zite was honest about what it left out: the pass purchase and the emails. It also chose to sign people in with a link sent by email, because, it said, "Proper password sign-in isn't available on this platform."
Zite Accuracy: Did It Build What I Asked?
Nearly all of it: 22 of 24 checks passed. The two that failed need a password, signing up with one and resetting it, because Zite signs people in with an emailed link. I left out six more checks, the payment and email ones, because they need accounts of yours.
Booking, cancelling, the capacity rule, class credits, the coach's attendance list, the admin's class tools, the CSV file, the booking counts and the Ask the studio form all worked, and nothing was invented. Instead of a pass purchase, the app says "Online pass purchase isn't available yet", and an admin adds credits by hand.
Zite Editing: Seven of Twelve Changes Tested
This is the test that shows whether you can keep working on the app. Seven of the twelve changes ran, and all seven worked. The free plan allows ten messages a day, and that limit stopped the rest.
Twelve changes, one message each
| What happened | Changes |
|---|---|
| Worked the first time | 7 of 7 run |
| Not run because of the daily limit | 5 |
| Left something stale on the page | 1 (a home page card) |
Two of my messages ran together, because my script typed the colour change and the About page into the same box, and Zite did both. After the capacity change it told me its home page card still said six places, then fixed it itself. The bug I planted, taking the credit refund out, was undone with one message.
The email change was the tenth message. Zite did not build it: it asked me to connect an email sender, then said "No messages remaining today." I stopped there.
Zite Publishing and Page Speed
Publishing was one click. The app was live on a zite.so address with HTTPS about twenty seconds later. A custom domain is behind a paywall, so I could not connect mine, and the Zite badge stays on the app.
Going live
| What I measured | Result |
|---|---|
| Publishing on Zite's address | About 20 seconds |
| Connecting my own domain | Paid plans only |
| Google phone speed score | 78 of 100 |
| Layout faults on a phone | 2 small |
Google's phone speed test, out of 100
- Home page, median of three78
- Score where a 4 starts75
No page scrolled sideways at four widths. On a phone the menu runs out of room, so the last tab is cut off, and the Zite badge sits over the content. I measured only the home page, because Google's tool cannot sign in. Right after a republish some app requests took up to a minute, though the pages loaded quickly.
Every day I also run the Zite speed test.
Zite Uptime: 30 Days of Checks
A review tells you what happened on one day. This tells you what happens every day after. My own monitor opens the app every five minutes for 30 days, from 27 October to 26 November 2026, and records whether it answered and how fast.
Zite hosts the app on its free plan, so a Zite outage would show here. That makes this record a test of whether a free app stays up.
Every check so far is on the Zite uptime record.

Zite Security: Logins and Private Data
Both of my attacks were blocked. Asking for another member's bookings returned only my own, and a member calling the admin requests, delete class included, was told "You do not have access to this." A visitor with no sign-in was refused too.
The weak spot is the first admin. The first person to sign up as admin is approved at once, so a stranger who reached a new app before its owner would get the role. Zite's own chat told me to sign in first as admin. My second admin had to wait for approval.
There are no passwords at all. You get a link by email, and it arrived in about ten seconds, so there is no password reset to try.
Zite Database: Does the Data Survive?
Yes: six of six data checks passed. Bookings and the form wrote records, and they stayed through reloads, every republish and the colour change. The admin could view, edit and delete in the app, the data panel let me edit a record, and the bookings downloaded as a CSV file.
Any table exports as CSV on the free plan. Deleting a class cancels its upcoming bookings and gives the credits back, and the app asks you before it does it. I did not try backup and restore.
Zite Payments and Emails
I did not run payments, and this test is not graded. Zite asked me to connect Stripe and an email account, and I connected neither, because those are accounts of yours. The app shows the $95 pass but says online purchase is not available yet, so an admin adds credits by hand.
The sign-in emails did arrive, in about ten seconds. The booking emails were not built, so I cannot tell you how well they work.
Zite Code Export and Ownership
On the free plan I found no way to take the code out. The Code tab lets you read every file of the app, but there is no download button, and the Source control panel for GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket says "Coming soon".
Your data is easier to take: any table exports as CSV, and the admin's bookings file downloaded. Zite's home page says "Own your data and export anytime." The terms page on zite.com is Fillout's, from 2022, and I found nothing in it about who owns an app built with Zite. I did not try a paid plan, which may add an export.
Zite Support and Cancellation
I emailed Zite support the same three questions every builder gets: how to stop people signing up as admin, how to export data and code, and how to cancel. A reply came in about a minute, from Fillout's support address, but it only asked whether I wanted to delete the account or cancel a plan. I answered, and had no answer to my questions when I wrote this, so support is not graded.
On a free plan there is nothing to cancel, and you cannot be charged, because I never entered a card. To close the account you delete the organization in Settings, which removes everything in it, so I did not. I will update this section when support answers.
Zite Reviews: What Other Users Say
I could not find reviews of Zite to read. Trustpilot has no page for zite.com that I could find on 27 October 2026, and G2's page would not load for me. Read what other customers say before you decide.
Final verdict: is Zite worth it?
If this were my studio, I would try Zite on the free plan, because it gave me a working booking app in eleven minutes without a card. I would sign up as the admin myself first, and I would plan to pay for Pro as soon as I wanted my own domain or more than ten messages a day.
It suits teams that want to test a business app builder before they pay, and that are happy to sign people in by an emailed link. It suits you less if you need your own domain on day one, a code download or a password sign-in. I could not try payments or emails, and Zite's support team has not yet answered my questions.
The eight graded tests average 3.8 out of 5, and I rate Zite 3.8. Build speed and the database are the highest, because the app was live in eleven minutes and every record survived. Export is the lowest, because I found no way to take the code out on the free plan.
See the Zite test results and how I rate.
Best for: People who want to try an AI business-app builder with no card, and who accept that a custom domain and more messages a day mean paying for Pro.
My grade: 3.8/5. The ten grades say where it is strong and where it is not.

Hey, I'm Miles, and this is RankDude, where I test AI tools hands on and publish every number, so you can decide before you pay. Today it's Zite, an AI builder for business apps. I tested it on its free plan, with no card and nothing paid, using one brief for a Pilates booking app called Fitting Room. The short version is that on the free plan Zite built a working booking app, and it was live eleven minutes after I pasted the brief. Twenty-two of twenty-four checks passed, and both access attacks were blocked. Then the limits stopped me. Ten messages a day ended the changes after seven, a custom domain needs a paid plan, and I found no way to download the code. My rating is three point eight out of five, from eight graded tests.
So, what is Zite? It's an AI builder for business apps, made by Restly, the company behind the Fillout forms tool. You describe the app in a chat, and it builds the screens, a database and the sign-in, then publishes it on a Zite address. The free plan gives you unlimited apps and users, five thousand records and ten messages a day, and the Zite badge stays on your app. Pro costs twenty-five dollars a month, or twenty dollars a month if you pay for a year.
Every builder I review gets the same brief, word for word. Fitting Room is a booking and membership app for a small Pilates studio, with a timetable, members who book, coaches, an admin, and a ninety-five dollar five-class pass. I pasted it into Zite and pressed send. In about thirty seconds it had set up only the sign-in, and it asked me to connect Stripe and an email account. I couldn't, because those are accounts of yours, so I told it to build everything else. That took about seven minutes. I published, and the app was live on its own Zite address about eleven minutes after I started. That was two messages, no fixes, and no edits by me. So the build earns a five.
Now accuracy. Twenty-two of twenty-four checks passed. Six more checks, the payments and the two emails, need accounts that are yours to supply, so I left them out. Booking, cancelling, the full-class rule, the coach's attendance list, the admin's tools, the CSV file and the Ask the studio form all worked. Here is the live timetable, with its coach filter. Nothing was invented. The two checks that failed both need a password. Zite signs people in with an emailed link, and it says proper password sign-in isn't available on its platform. Accuracy scores four.
Log-in, and the two attacks. Sign-in is an emailed link. It arrived in about ten seconds, and the welcome page asks you to pick Member, Coach or Admin. Attack one. I ask for another member's bookings, and I get only my own. Blocked. Attack two. As a member, I call the admin requests, even the delete-class action. Every one answers that I have no access. Blocked. A visitor with no sign-in was refused too. The weak spot is the first admin. The first person to sign up as admin is approved at once, so sign up before you share the link. My second admin had to wait for approval. That scores four.
Next, the data. All six checks passed. Bookings and the Ask the studio form wrote records, and they stayed after reloads, every republish and the colour change. The admin could view, edit and delete in the app, and I edited a record in the data panel myself. Any table exports as a CSV file on the free plan. Five out of five.
Payments and emails. I did not run these, because Zite asked for a Stripe account and an email account, and those are accounts of yours. The sign-in emails did arrive, but the booking emails were not built. So this test is not graded.
Then the twelve changes, one message each. I ran seven, and all seven worked. A phone field, instructor renamed coach, dark green and cream, an About page, a capacity of four, a coach filter, and the credit bug I planted, which Zite undid when I reported it. Two of my messages ran together, and Zite did both. Then the tenth message of the day was the email change. Zite asked me to connect an email sender, and said there were no messages left today. So five changes were not run. That scores three.
Publishing is one click, and the app was live on a Zite address, with HTTPS, in about twenty seconds. A custom domain is behind a paywall, so I couldn't connect mine, and the Zite badge stays on the app. On a simulated phone the home page scored seventy-eight out of a hundred. No page scrolled sideways, but on a phone the menu runs out of room, and the badge sits over the content. With only the Zite address, that earns a three.
Can you take the app with you? On the free plan I found no way to download the code. The Code tab lets you read every file, but there's no download button, and the GitHub link says coming soon. Your data is easier: any table exports as a CSV file. I asked support who owns what you build, and I have no answer yet. This test scores two.
Support and cancelling. I emailed Zite support the same three questions every builder gets. A reply came in about a minute, but it only asked whether I wanted to delete the account. I answered, and there is no answer to my questions yet, so support is not graded. On a free plan there's nothing to cancel, and I never entered a card. To close the account you delete the organization, and that removes everything in it.
What did it cost? I paid nothing. The test used twenty-five of the hundred and fifty credits, all ten messages for the day, and over five hundred of the thousand app requests a month that the free plan allows. At Pro's price, twenty-five credits is about six dollars, so the build and seven changes are cheap, if you can send the messages.
Pricing. Zite has a free plan. Pro is twenty-five dollars a month, or twenty a month billed yearly, with no message limit, one custom domain and no Zite badge. Business is eighty-nine dollars a month. The free plan was enough to build and publish. The limits and the missing domain are what you pay to remove, so pricing scores four.
So, my verdict. On the free plan Zite built a real booking app in eleven minutes, with a capacity rule, credits that return when you cancel, an admin area and a CSV export. Both attacks were blocked, and every change I ran worked. My rating is three point eight out of five, the average of eight tests. Build speed and data are the highest. Export is the lowest, because I found no way to take the code out. It suits people who want to try a business app builder with no card. It suits you less if you need your own domain on day one, a code download or a password sign-in. Every measurement is on rankdude.ai.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Zite cost, and is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan costs $0, and I built and published my whole test app on it with no card. It allows 10 messages a day, and I used 25.5 of 150 credits. Pro is $25 a month, or $20 a month billed yearly, and Business is $89.
Is Zite legit and safe?
Mostly yes, in my test. It built a live app, and a member could not reach other members' bookings or any admin action. But the first person to choose admin gets the role at once, so sign up first. I could not test payments.
Who owns the app I build on Zite?
Not confirmed. The terms page on zite.com is Fillout's older terms and I found nothing about who owns an app. Zite's home page says "Own your data and export anytime." I asked support.
Can I download my Zite code?
Not on Free, as far as I could find. The Code tab shows every file but has no download button, and GitHub sync is marked "Coming soon". Any data table exports as CSV. I did not try a paid plan.
How do I cancel Zite?
Nothing to cancel. On Free, closing the account means deleting the organization in Settings, which removes everything in it. I did not do that, and I asked support how it works for a paid plan.
