Sign-in & Access Control
n/aNot Tested- Method
- I signed up and signed in as a member and an admin in the simulator, and tried a wrong and a right admin staff code.
- Roles signed up
- 2 of 3
- Attacks I could run
- 0 of 2
- Remark
- The attacks were not run, so there is no grade.
Raw notes
I signed up and signed in as a member and an admin in the simulator, and tried a wrong and a right admin staff code.
Member sign-up needed no email check. A new admin account needs a staff code: a wrong code was refused and the code from my own app's database panel was accepted. The staff code is shown on the admin Account screen and in Rork's chat and database panel. I did not test password reset, the instructor sign-up or my two access attacks, because the simulator gives no way to record the app's requests.
- The test needs the app's requests, which I could not capture.
Payments & Email Actions
n/aNot Tested- Method
- Payments and emails need keys that are the owner's, so C24 to C29 are left out.
- Remark
- Not graded, as the methodology allows when the keys are not supplied.
Raw notes
Payments and emails need keys that are the owner's, so C24 to C29 are left out.
Pay $95 with Stripe showed an error that the Stripe secret key is not set. The booking message said a confirmation email was on its way; I did not open an inbox. I created no Stripe account.
- No payment or email was tested.
Iteration & Credit Burn
n/aNot Tested- Method
- Five of the twelve changes were requested in the chat, one request each, with the balance read before every request: E03, E04, E06, E10 and E12.
- Changes requested
- 5 of 12
- Confirmed by me
- 3
- Credits for the five
- 38.8
- Remark
- Fewer than six changes were confirmed, so there is no grade.
Raw notes
Five of the twelve changes were requested in the chat, one request each, with the balance read before every request: E03, E04, E06, E10 and E12.
E03 colours to dark green and cream, 3.9 credits, seen in the simulator. E04 About page with the address, phone and email, 6.6 credits, seen. E06 instructor filter, 7.5 credits, seen working (Tomás Reyes showed Mat Flow). E10 admin-only export, 10.4 credits; Rork reported a server check and the app built, but I did not test it. E12 dark mode switch, 10.4 credits; the switch is on the Account tab, I tapped it and the screen stayed light, so it is not confirmed. E01, E02, E05, E07, E08, E09 and E11 were not run, to keep the balance above 25 credits.
- The credits were my choice to stop; a full run of twelve would have cost more than the 135.
Publishing & Page Speed
n/aNot Tested- Method
- I opened the Publish menu in the builder.
- Public address
- None
- Remark
- There is no public app to measure, so there is no grade.
Raw notes
I opened the Publish menu in the builder.
It has one option: Submit to App Store, with the text Build and submit this app to TestFlight and the App Store and No App Store submissions yet. There is no web address for the app, so no publish time, domain, speed run or uptime check. I did not try the App Store, which needs an Apple developer account.
- Run on your device and TestFlight were not tried.
Code Export & Ownership
n/aNot Tested- Method
- I pressed Connect GitHub in the project menu and opened the Code tab.
- Remark
- Not graded: the export needs an account that is not mine.
Raw notes
I pressed Connect GitHub in the project menu and opened the Code tab.
Connect GitHub opened a GitHub sign-in page for Rork's app, and I stopped there. The Code tab lists the folders .rork, backend and ios-fitting-room, with Swift files inside. I downloaded and ran nothing and did not read the terms.
- Nothing was exported.
Support & Cancellation
n/aNot Tested- Method
- I emailed three questions to support@rork.com on 27 October 2026: how to restrict admin sign-up, what an export holds, and how to cancel and delete the account.
- Remark
- Not graded until a reply arrives.
Raw notes
I emailed three questions to support@rork.com on 27 October 2026: how to restrict admin sign-up, what an export holds, and how to cancel and delete the account.
No reply had arrived when I wrote this. The Build Credits panel has a Cancel subscription button and the plan renews on 28 November 2026; I did not press it. The Account settings page has a Delete account button.
- Cancelling was not tested.
Prompt to Working App
4/5Tested- Method
- The Fitting Room brief was pasted word for word (1,688 characters, with 'web app' changed to 'mobile app') into Rork's dashboard in Build mode on iPhone, Model Auto, at 04:57 on 28 October 2026.
- Brief to the first design
- About 2 min
- Brief to a working app
- About 24 min
- Requests
- 2
- Credits to a working app
- 41.2
- Remark
- About 24 minutes and two requests to a working app, but not at a public address: 4.
Raw notes
The Fitting Room brief was pasted word for word (1,688 characters, with 'web app' changed to 'mobile app') into Rork's dashboard in Build mode on iPhone, Model Auto, at 04:57 on 28 October 2026. The default mode on the paid plan was Design; I switched it.
Rork asked two questions, which screen members see first and which colour mood; I chose Surprise me for both. Design view showed four phone screens about two minutes later: Timetable, Reformer Basics, My bookings and Ask the studio. Rork said the instructor and admin views were not drawn yet. I pressed Build at 05:00. Rork asked whether to create Rork Cloud or connect my own Supabase, and I chose Rork Cloud. It made 63 actions, generated an app icon and three images, and the build finished at about 05:21, 24 minutes after the brief. The built app has member, instructor and admin sign-up. The scale ends at a live app at a public address with 25 of 30 checks passing, which Rork cannot give for a native app, so the grade uses the working app in the simulator.
- The grade is for the simulator. One more request of my own (admin-granted credits, 9.0 credits) was needed to test booking without paying.
Spec Accuracy
3/5Tested- Method
- The brief's checks were run by hand in the simulator on the built app.
- Checks passed, of 24
- 15
- Failed
- 1
- Not checked
- 8
- Remark
- 15 of 24 is 63%, which is a 3 on the proportional scale; eight checks were not run.
Raw notes
The brief's checks were run by hand in the simulator on the built app. The six checks that need keys of mine (C24 to C29) are left out, leaving 24.
Passed (15): C01 member sign-up lands signed in; C02 sign out and back in; C05 and C06 the timetable shows all three classes with day, time, instructor, capacity and places left; C07 booking; C08 the booking on My bookings; C09 cancelling frees the place and returns the credit; C11 booking uses one credit and a member with none is told to buy a pass; C16, C17 and C18 admin adds, edits (capacity 8 to 10) and deletes a class; C21 the admin Classes screen shows booking counts; C22 and C23 the Ask the studio message is saved and the admin sees it; C30 nine of the ten seed facts, all but the owner's name. Failed (1): C24, Pay $95 with Stripe, showed an error that the Stripe secret key is not set. Not checked (8): C03 password reset, C04 and C13 to C15 the instructor screens, C10 a full class, C12 one member against another, C19 every booking, C20 the CSV export. The app dropped back to the iPhone home screen once while I typed in the admin sign-up form.
- Counting unchecked checks as not passed is the stricter reading.
Database & Admin
4/5Tested- Method
- I created records through the app, then made changes, restarted the simulator and looked at them in the app and in Rork's Database panel.
- Data checks passed
- 5 of 6
- Remark
- Five of six passed (the export was not tested): 4.
Raw notes
I created records through the app, then made changes, restarted the simulator and looked at them in the app and in Rork's Database panel.
Rork made seven tables (bookings, classes, instructors, messages, orders, profiles, staff_codes) and five server functions (book-class, create-checkout, checkout-return, confirm-checkout, stripe-webhook). After the colour change, the About page, the filter and the other changes, the member, the five credits and the Ask the studio message were still there. The admin added, edited and deleted a class in the app and read the message in the Inbox. I did not test the CSV export. The panel says Managed by Rork and offers Transfer to your Supabase.
- Records survived design changes and rebuilds; there was no publish step to test.
Pricing & Cost to Finish
4/5Tested- Method
- The pricing page, the credit panel and the Build Usage list were read before and after every request on 28 October 2026.
- Plan paid
- $20
- Credits used
- 95.3 of 130
- Remark
- The app fit in the plan with a cap in place, but the running cost of the backend is unclear: 4.
Raw notes
The pricing page, the credit panel and the Build Usage list were read before and after every request on 28 October 2026.
The plan is $20 a month, and the credit panel showed 135 monthly credits where the pricing page says 100. I started with 130 after 5 credits used on the free plan the day before. The design cost 1.9 credits, Build 38.9, four images 0.4, my credit-granting request 9.0, the five changes 3.9, 6.6, 7.5, 10.4 and 10.4, and simulator minutes about 6: 95.3 credits in all, leaving 34.7. At the plan's rate the working app cost about $6. Auto top-up shows an Enable button and a monthly spending limit is off, so nothing could bill beyond the plan. Rork Cloud, the hosted backend, has its own dollar balance (a $1 grant) and I do not know what it would cost to run.
- Yearly prices were not read.
Coverage
Tested
- One brief typed word for word, with two builder questions answered
- Build mode on iPhone and Rork's hosted backend
- Member and admin sign-up, member log-in, a wrong and a right admin staff code
- Booking, the credit rule, cancelling, add, edit and delete a class, the Ask the studio form and the admin inbox
- Five change requests: colours, About page, instructor filter, admin-only export and dark mode
- The Database panel, the Publish menu and the Connect GitHub button
- The credit meter before every request
Not tested or limited
- No public address exists, so there is no uptime monitor, speed test or test-site card; the app was tested only in Rork's simulator and not on a phone
- Nine of the 24 checks were not run: password reset, the instructor screens, a full class, one member's bookings against another's, the admin bookings list, the bookings export and others
- The two access attacks were not run, because the simulator gives no way to capture the app's requests
- The code export stopped at a GitHub sign-in that needs the owner's account; nothing was downloaded or run
- Payments and emails need keys that are yours: Pay with Stripe showed a missing key error
- Two of the five changes, the admin-only export and the dark mode switch, built without errors but were not confirmed by me
- Support is not graded: the email was sent on 27 October 2026 and no reply had arrived
- I did not read the terms or G2
Still to test
- The 24 checks I could not run, including the instructor screens and a full class
- The two access attacks with the app's requests captured
- The GitHub export and a run elsewhere
- Run on your device and the App Store route
- Payments and emails with the owner's keys, and a reply from support
