Every month I add up the Google visits to the 39 AI note taker sites I track (DataForSEO estimates) and how often people in the US search for them by name (Google Ads). In October 2026 they got about 6.1 million visits. Notion AI alone takes 60.1% of the visits, so the totals mostly follow it. Without it, visits would be down 55.7% on a year ago instead of down 44.1%.

No. The 39 tracked AI note taker sites got 6,094,400 visits from Google search in October 2026. That is 44% fewer visits than in October 2025, and 11% fewer visits than in September 2026.
The highest month of the last two years was January 2026, with 11,236,227 visits; October 2026 is 46% below it. In the US, visits were 848,574, down 34% on a year ago.

Visits are lower than a year ago and lower than in September 2026, so the fall is still going. Google Trends interest in the term fell (-12%), but name searches did not, so some interest has cooled.

About level with October 2025 (+1%); 1.4M name searches a month in the US
About as many as before. People in the US searched Google for the names of the counted AI note taker sites 1,446,650 times in September 2026, about the same as in October 2025. Someone who searches a site’s name already knows it, so this is the clearest sign of people coming back on purpose. The term “ai note taker” itself gets about 22,200 US searches a month (Google Ads, 12-month average).
