Over two years, visits went from 4.4M in November 2024 to a high of 8.4M in December 2025, and stand at 3.5M in October 2026. Much of the year’s change is one site, AutoCAD, which is why I also look at the market without it.

I only call a market growing when visits and name searches agree. Here visits are down and name searches are up, so they don’t agree yet.

“ai cad” is searched about 4,400 times a month worldwide, 23% of it in the US.

Google Trends barely registered “ai cad” until June 2025; interest then climbed to its peak in March 2026. Americans make 23% of the searches but only 18.1% of the visits, because the big sites also draw heavily from India, Canada and United Kingdom.

Google Trends shows direction, not volume. Interest is lower than a year ago, and I only trust that when the visits move the same way.

Fewer visits than a year ago, but more people searching by name, and the next six months look like a slide.

The fastest growers over the year, Onshape, Shapr3D and PTC Creo, grew fastest, mostly from a smaller base. The losers, led by Zoo, lost most of their search visits (-66%).
