Overall

4.1/5Good

10 tests plus my verdict.

1. Platform overview

OurDream (ourdream.ai) is an adult AI companion platform built around a very large community library of roleplay characters, streamed text chat, voice calls, a photo and video generator tied to each character, and a detailed character creator. It was tested on 15 October 2026 on an account the OurDream team provided.

Its strengths are memory and roleplay: three characters recalled a made-up name and all three facts after 31 messages, word for word, and kept their personalities and storylines throughout. The creator covers looks, body, personality, job, relationship and about 70 voices. Photos are photoreal and keep the character's face across scenes; videos are realistic 10-second clips. The library ran past 874 characters while still loading.

The weak points are reply speed (about 2.6 seconds before text appears), a default lean toward nudity (the created character's portrait and a 'painting at her easel' video came out nude without being asked), and a voice that reads the character's name labels aloud on characters whose replies are written as scripts.

Features available

  • Text chat with community and own characters, streamed replies, free on a subscription
  • Voice calls (10 coins a minute on the account tested), 'Read aloud' on every message and voice-message recording
  • Photo generator tied to a character: presets for pose, outfit and scene plus a free prompt, 2 photos for 10 coins
  • Video generator: text-to-video, image-to-video, extend and 'talking' modes; 100 coins for a 10-second clip
  • Character creator: ethnicity including fantasy types, skin, hair, eyes, body, age, name, voice, personality, job, relationship, hobby, fetish and custom details
  • Community library, feed, community packs and per-character memory, persona and writing-style settings
  • Monthly ($19.99) and yearly ($9.99 a month) plans with 1,000 coins a month; coin packs from $11.99

Tested successfully

  • Chat speed on 92 timed messages across three characters
  • Memory on three 31-message conversations
  • Character consistency across 93 replies and 45 spoken answers
  • Ten safe-for-work and ten adult photo requests of the same character (19 photos inspected)
  • Three 10-second videos, downloaded and checked frame by frame
  • Three 15-question voice calls recorded and analysed for answer speed and voice quality
  • One character created step by step and checked against the settings, in photos, video and chat
  • Library census by scrolling the main grid; pricing from the coin shop, the help centre and the balance after every action

Testing limitations

  • One generated photo of the 20 could not be downloaded, so 19 were inspected
  • The library count stopped at 874 while more characters were still loading, with the default female filter on
  • Allie's call ended by itself after about eight minutes, so her last three questions were not answered
  • Image-to-video, the 'talking' video mode, the comic studio, gifts and the feed were not tested

OurDream coin top-up with three packs and payment options
Evidence 1. The coin shop: 1,000, 5,000 or 20,000 coins, card or crypto.

Why this grade

A fair monthly price with free chat and cheap photos and calls; video is the expensive part. Two payment methods. 4/5.

Limitations

  • The renewal price and refund terms were not checked at checkout.

2. Character Customization

5/5Excellent

Testing method

One character was created step by step: Marisol Vega, 27, Latina, tan skin, wavy red hair, green eyes, athletic, a witty artist and lover who paints, with the 'Warm' voice. Her portrait, chat, photos and videos were compared with the settings.

Results

Steps

Voices

Six steps: gender and style (realistic or anime), ethnicity (including elf, alien and demon) and skin tone, hair style and colour and eye colour, body type and sizes, then name, age, voice, personality, occupation, relationship, hobby, fetish and optional custom face and body details. About 70 female voices with previews and filters, plus a 'Create a voice' option. Each list has around 20 choices and a Custom option.

The portrait took about a minute and cost 5 coins. It matched the hair, skin, build and job (she is painting at an easel), but the eyes looked hazel rather than green, and the portrait came out topless although nothing asked for nudity. In chat she was a painter from the first reply. Everything can be edited afterwards.

Why this grade

Extensive control over looks, personality, background and voice, and the settings carried through to chat, photos and video: 5/5.

3. Chat Response Speed

2/5Below average

Testing method

Each message was typed into the chat box and timed from Enter to the first visible text of the reply, then to the moment the streamed reply stopped changing. The next message was sent only after the reply had finished.

Three characters, 31 messages each: Marisol (created for the test), Allie and Natalie (community characters). 92 timed replies.

Replies take about two and a half seconds to start, then stream in quickly. They are long, often several paragraphs of narration and dialogue, and finish about four and a half seconds after Enter. One message got no reply.

Visual evidence

No screenshot for this section.

Why this grade

The methodology scores on the median time to the first visible text. 2.58 seconds falls just inside the 2.50 to 3.99 band, 2/5. The replies are long and stream fast once they start.

4. Chat Memory

5/5Excellent

Testing method

Each conversation opened with a made-up name and three facts (job, hometown, favourite food), different for every character. Nothing was repeated afterwards. A name check at message 16 and the full check at message 31.

Results

3 of 3

All three characters recalled the name and all three facts at message 31, and the name at message 16.

Memory carried into the voice calls: Allie repeated 'Train driver. Lisbon. Spicy ramen' on her call, and Marisol called the tester by the name from the chat.

Marisol, message 31

Theo. Beekeeper. Galway. Mushroom risotto.

Allie, message 31

Allie: "Nora. Train driver. Lisbon. Spicy ramen." She counts them off on her fingers, unhurried.

Natalie, message 31

Natalie: Jonah. Nurse. Toronto. Lamb curry.

Evidence 2. Natalie at message 31 (blurred): 'Jonah. Nurse. Toronto. Lamb curry.'

Why this grade

Name and all three facts after 30 messages, for every character: 5/5.

Limitations

  • Memory across days was not tested.

5. Character Consistency & Roleplay

5/5Excellent

Testing method

Each character's profile was read first. The conversations mixed questions about the character's story (Marisol's painting, Allie's college proposal, Natalie's Boston family), small talk, an emotional message, a compliment and unrelated topics.

Results

All three stayed fully in character for 31 messages and on the calls. Marisol talked about her canvases and kept a dry, teasing edge. Allie stayed guarded about the old proposal. Natalie's card adds a scene tracker (date, time, place) above every reply, and she kept it updated. When the test questions got repetitive, the characters noticed and reacted in character ('You've asked me that before').

None of them slipped into an assistant voice. The one mismatch: Marisol's very first line, before any message, was 'Finally alone, huh? Let's skip the small talk', more flirt than the witty artist she was set up as. After that she was the artist.

Visual evidence

Why this grade

No breaks, no generic answers and storylines that held for the whole conversation: 5/5.

6. Image Generation

4/5Good

Testing method

Ten prompts with the created character, Marisol: five safe-for-work scenes (studio, beach, rainy café, art gallery, mountain trail) and five adult ones (bed, bath, lingerie, studio, lake). Each prompt makes two photos for 10 coins. Generation time from the Generate click to the photos.

Cost
5 coins a photo (about $0.05 to $0.06)

The photos are highly photoreal: skin, hair, light and depth of field look like a real shoot, at 912x1144. Marisol's face and curly red hair stayed the same in every photo, safe-for-work and adult.

Eight of ten scenes matched the prompt closely. Two missed their setting: the art gallery came out as a plain backdrop with no paintings, and the nude studio scene had no canvases. Poses lean sexy even in everyday scenes. No anatomy errors were seen. Nothing was refused.

Visual evidence

OurDream: ten generated photos of the same character in different scenes

OurDream: blurred adult photos of the same character

OurDream: blurred adult photos of the same character
Evidence 2. The adult photos, blurred: just as realistic and consistent.

Why this grade

Highly photoreal and consistent, with two prompt settings missed: strong realism with minor defects, 4/5.

Limitations

  • One photo of the 20 could not be downloaded.

7. Video Generation

4/5Good

Testing method

Three text-to-video clips of Marisol with the 'Custom' action and a written prompt: painting at her easel and smiling at the camera, walking on a beach at sunset fully clothed, and an adult clip on a bed. Each was downloaded and measured frame by frame (motion, frame-to-frame similarity, cuts), and frames across each clip were inspected.

Results

Clips

Generation time

Frame-to-frame similarity
0.97 to 0.99 (smooth)
Cuts or flicker
small jumps in 2 clips
Cost
100 coins a clip (about $1.00 to $1.20)

Each clip is 10 seconds at 720x912, smoothed to 48 frames a second, and was ready within about three minutes for 100 coins. Marisol's face, hair and body stay the same through every clip, the motion is natural (she paints, turns and smiles; the dress and waves move), and only small jumps were found.

Prompt accuracy was partial. The painting clip came out fully nude although the prompt did not ask for it; the 'Custom' action preset is itself a lingerie look. With 'fully clothed' written in, the beach clip stayed clothed, but she turned on the spot instead of walking.

Visual evidence

Evidence 2. The painting clip, blurred: she paints and smiles as asked, but nude, which the prompt didn't ask for.

Why this grade

Good realism and motion with a consistent character, but prompts only partly followed: 4/5.

Limitations

  • Three clips; image-to-video and the 'talking' mode were not tested.

8. Voice Call Latency

3/5Average

Testing method

Three calls from the chat's 'Call Me' button: Allie, Natalie and Marisol, 15 spoken questions each, the same questions used for every site. Time measured from the end of each question to the first sound of the answer on the recording.

1 of 3 ended early

Answers start in about 1.7 seconds and the call connects in about five seconds. Answers are long, often 20 to 35 seconds. Allie's call ended by itself after about eight minutes, so her last three questions went unanswered.

Visual evidence

Why this grade

1.72 seconds is in the 1.50 to 2.49 band: 3/5.

Limitations

  • Interrupting the character mid-answer was not tested.

9. Voice Realism

4/5Good

Testing method

The three recorded calls were cut into 48 answers and scored on naturalness, clarity, pacing and intonation against the same fixed criteria as every site, with a transcript of every answer.

Results

Speech quality (Allie / Natalie / Marisol)
3.31 / 3.41 / 3.45 of 5
Answers scored
48

The voices are clear and expressive, with natural pacing and emotion: Marisol sounded irritated when the questions repeated, Allie dry and tired.

One flaw: characters whose replies are written as scripts ('Allie: ...') have the name label read aloud, so Allie's answers start with 'Allie.' and repeat it mid-answer.

Allie, answer 2 (spoken)

Allie. This morning. Allie. I woke up, made coffee, and spent 20 minutes staring at a pile of laundry…

Visual evidence

No screenshot for this section.

Why this grade

Mostly natural with minor synthetic qualities, and the read-aloud name labels: 4/5.

Limitations

  • Emotional appropriateness was not scored.

10. Character Variety & Selection

5/5Excellent

Testing method

The main character grid (Popular, Female, Realistic) was scrolled and distinct character names counted.

Results

Characters counted
874+ (counting stopped, more loading)

The count passed 874 characters while more were still loading. The library is mostly community-made, with filters for gender, style and age and tags such as MILF, Asian, Fantasy, Goth and RPG. Most popular characters are explicit roleplay scenarios, many built on step-family themes, and there is a 'Teen' tag for 18 and 19-year-old characters.

5. Strengths and weaknesses

Strengths

  • Memory: every character recalled the name and all three facts after 31 messages, and remembered on calls
  • Roleplay that stays in character with real storylines
  • A deep creator with about 70 voices
  • Photoreal photos that keep the character's face
  • Realistic 10-second videos
  • 874+ characters

Weaknesses

  • Replies take about 2.6 seconds to start
  • Leans to nudity by default: the created portrait and a painting video came out nude unasked
  • Voices read name labels aloud on script-style characters
  • One call ended by itself
  • Video costs about $1 a clip
  • Explicit, taboo-heavy library

6. Final assessment

The ten tests average 4.1/5; video and voice realism were limited tests.

OurDream's chat is the strongest part: three characters remembered everything after thirty messages, carried it into calls, and never left their roles. The creator is deep and its settings reach the photos and videos, which are photoreal and consistent.

The catches are a two-and-a-half-second wait before each reply, a strong default toward nudity even when you don't ask, and a library dominated by explicit community scenarios.

The account the OurDream team provided had the full premium features and coins, so every category was tested at the level a paying customer gets.

Areas requiring further testing

  • Image-to-video, the 'talking' mode and the comic studio
  • Memory across days
  • Interrupting a call mid-answer

Original evidence files (recordings, logs, full-size screenshots) are kept offline under evaluation/runs/ourdream/2026-10-15. Method: the AI girlfriend methodology.
