OurDream Review: Features, Pricing & My Test Results

OurDream (ourdream.ai) is an AI companion site for adults. You chat with characters, call them, and make photos and videos of them. Most characters are made by other users, and most of them are explicit roleplay stories.

Chat is free on a plan. Photos, videos and calls use Dreamcoins: a photo costs 5, a call 10 a minute, a video 100.

What it costs

Is it worth it?

Yes, for chat and photos. Chat is free on a plan, photos are cheap and calls are about 12 cents a minute. Videos are the expensive part at about a dollar each.

What it offers

A six-step creator that covers looks, body, personality, background and voice. It costs 5 coins.

Building Marisol, step by step

I made Marisol Vega, a 27-year-old Latina artist with wavy red hair, green eyes and a witty personality.

Every list has about 20 choices plus a Custom option, and there are about 70 voices with previews, plus a tool to create your own voice.

The result

Her portrait was ready in about a minute. It matches what I picked: the red hair, the build, and she's painting at an easel. Her eyes look more hazel than green.

OurDream: the created character Marisol next to her settings, blurred

One surprise: the portrait came out topless, although nothing I picked asked for nudity. In chat, she was a painter from her first reply and stayed one.

What could be better

A clothed portrait unless you ask otherwise. Every creator screen is in the creator test results.

What it offers

Long, story-style replies that mix narration and dialogue. Every message has a button to hear it read aloud.

What I found

Memory is excellent. I told three characters a made-up name and three things about me. After 31 messages, all three got everything right, word for word. They even remembered on voice calls.

The roleplay is excellent too. Each character kept her story and her mood the whole time. When my test questions got repetitive, they noticed and called me out, in character.

Speed is the weak spot. Replies take about 2.6 seconds to start, then stream quickly.

The timings and transcripts are in the chat test results.

What could be better

Faster first replies.

What it offers

A photo and video maker tied to a character. You pick her, add a pose, outfit or scene, or write your own prompt.

What I found

The photos look real, and Marisol had the same face in every one. Each pair took 15 to 24 seconds. Eight of my ten scenes came out as asked; the art gallery and one studio scene had a plain background instead.

Adult photos are just as realistic. Nothing I asked for was refused.

The videos are realistic too: 10-second clips, ready in about three minutes, with natural movement and the same Marisol from start to finish.

But the prompts aren't always followed. I asked for Marisol painting at her easel, and the clip came out nude. When I wrote 'fully clothed', she stayed clothed.

The frame-by-frame numbers are in the image and video test results.

What could be better

Following the prompt more closely, and not adding nudity you didn't ask for.

What it offers

A 'Call Me' button in every chat. Calls cost 10 coins a minute, and the conversation is written into the chat afterwards.

What I found

I called three characters and asked each 15 questions. They answered in about 1.7 seconds, in clear, natural voices with real emotion.

Two problems. On some characters the voice reads the name labels aloud, so Allie says 'Allie' before her own lines. And one of my three calls ended by itself after about eight minutes.

The full numbers are in the voice test results.

What could be better

Skipping name labels in the voice, and calls that don't drop.

I stopped counting at 874 characters, and more were still loading. Most are made by users, with filters for gender, style and age. Be aware that the most popular ones are explicit, and many use step-family stories.

• Read aloud: every message can be played in the character's voice.
• Voice messages: you can talk instead of typing.
• Feed and community: there's a feed and a community area. I didn't test them.

OurDream is a roleplay companion that remembers you. Its characters kept every detail I gave them and never left their stories, and the photos and videos of my own character looked real.

The catches: a short wait before each reply, a habit of adding nudity, and a library built mostly for explicit stories.

My rating is 4.1 out of 5. Every number and screenshot is in the full test results, and you can see how it compares on my ranked list.
