All website builders, status and uptime
Builders appear here as each builder's full review is published. The first review is on its way.
How the monitor works
Every 5 minutes, our monitor opens each builder’s main website and the page where customers sign in, the same way a browser does. It records whether each page answered and how long the server took to reply.
It runs from one fixed location, so response times compare fairly between builders. If our own connection drops, that round is thrown out instead of counted against anyone.
The code and the data are ours. No outside status service is used, and no brand can change its figures.
What counts as down
- Down: no answer within 20 seconds, a server error (5xx), or a missing page (404). Every failure is checked again 15 seconds later before it counts.
- A builder counts as down in a round if its website or its sign-in page is down, because either one stops customers working.
- Refused checks (401, 403, 429) are left out: they mean the site blocked an automated visitor, not that it was down.
- Each round that fails counts as 5 minutes of downtime.
The uptime grade in reviews
Each review of a website builder shows its uptime from this monitor, graded over the last 30 days. The grade updates by itself as new checks come in:
- 5: up 99.95% of the time or more (about 22 minutes down a month at most)
- 4: 99.9% to 99.94% (up to about 43 minutes a month)
- 3: 99.5% to 99.89% (up to about 3.6 hours a month)
- 2: 99% to 99.49% (up to about 7 hours a month)
- 1: below 99%
Questions
- How do I know if my website builder is down?
- Open the builder's page below. It checks the builder's website and sign-in page the moment you open it, and shows the last days of checks under it.
- What counts as down?
- A page that doesn't answer within 20 seconds, answers with a server error (5xx), or says the page is gone (404). Every failure is checked again 15 seconds later before it counts, so a single dropped connection is not an outage.
- Why is a builder missing?
- GoDaddy Airo: godaddy.com refuses every automated request (HTTP 403), so an outside check can't tell up from down.
- Does a brand pay to be here, or know it is checked?
- No. Every brand is checked the same way, whether or not RankDude has reviewed it, and none of them can change the figures.
