Every month I measure Google visits to the 13 AI book writer sites I track, and how often people search for them by name. In October 2026 they got about 949 million visits, 315% more than a year ago and 4% more than in September 2026.

AI book writer market: the key numbers for October 2026

  • The tracked sites got 949,419,295 visits from Google in October 2026, 315% more than a year ago and 4% more than in September 2026. ChatGPT, which takes 96.8% of all the visits, accounts for most of the rise (97% of it). Without it, visits would be up 199.2% on a year ago instead of up 314.5%. ChatGPT made most of the move in October 2026: it gained 33,563,995 of the market's 39,427,546 visits; without it, visits to the other sites rose 23.6% on September 2026.
  • “ai book writer” gets about 3,600 US searches a month. People searched the site names 133,275,690 times in the US in September 2026, 6% more often than in October 2025.
  • No tracked site ranks on Google for “ai book writer”. ChatGPT is the most-visited site.
