Every month I measure Google visits to the 25 AI coding agent sites I track, and how often people search for them by name. In October 2026 they got about 4.7 million visits, 98% more than a year ago but 5% fewer than in September 2026.

AI coding agent market: the key numbers for October 2026

- The tracked sites got 4,714,416 visits from Google in October 2026, 98% more than a year ago and 5% fewer than in September 2026. Gemini CLI lost more visits in October 2026 (318,159) than the whole market did (231,152); without it, visits to the other sites rose 2.8% on September 2026.
- “ai agents for coding” gets about 390 US searches a month. People searched the site names 198,270 times in the US in September 2026, 142% more often than in October 2025.
