AI Peeps Review: Features, Pricing & My Test Results

AI Peeps (aipeeps.com) is an adult AI companion site. You chat with characters made by the community, or build your own, then talk to them, ask for photos and make videos.

Every character comes with a scenario that sets the scene, like a late-night kitchen or a gallery gala, and the chat suggests replies if you're stuck.

It's explicit: adult chats, photos and videos are allowed.

The plans are fair, and the coin allowances are generous. A photo is 10 PeepCoins, about 11 cents. A 10-second video is 85 to 160, about $0.90 to $1.80.

You can pay by card, crypto or a gift code, more choice than most sites. Yearly billing saves about 15%.

What it offers

Three steps, Look, Personality and Story, with more choices than any creator I've tested: her country, age and voice, detailed looks, seven personality sliders, hobbies, a bio and an opening scene.

One catch: the style box and the personality sliders come filled in at random, with tags like 'elf' and 'biomechanical'. Check them before you create.

The result

Hana was ready in about 15 seconds. In chat she was perfect: shy, caring, from Kyoto, a street photographer who knows every café nearby.

Her face, black hair and eyes matched, but one leftover tag, 'biomechanical', gave her a cyborg outfit.

What could be better

Start with empty choices instead of random ones. The details are in the customization test results.

What it offers

Free chat on every plan, with a scenario for each character, suggested replies and long-term memory.

What I found

Replies are slow: about 5 seconds before the first words in my test, and about 4 seconds when I retested with a realistic character, whose replies were shorter.

Memory is good. After 31 messages, all three remembered my name. Vivian got everything: 'Daniel. Teacher from Glasgow… your favorite food is lamb curry.' The others slipped on a fact or two.

The characters are wonderful. Angela, the shy baker, showed me her lopsided gingerbread man. Vivian's spirit 'agreed' with her. Karina, the Paris pianist, said: 'I read sheet music, not clouds.'

What could be better

Faster replies.

What it offers

An image generator with four engines, and videos of 5 to 15 seconds, with sound on the Omni model. You can start a video from any photo you've made.

What I found

Photos keep the same face. On Angela, a character with a softer style, they looked illustrated. AI Peeps suggested I try a realistic character, so I retested on Selena, and there they look truly photographic.

The catch: safe-for-work prompts often come back explicit. On Selena, half of my 10 everyday scenes had nudity I hadn't asked for.

Videos are smooth and have real sound. Made from the chat, my clips opened on her default picture. Made from a photo, as AI Peeps suggested, the clip opened in the right scene and kept her look.

What could be better

Keep safe-for-work photos clothed.

What it offers

Voice chat with any character, and a speaker button on every message. You can pick a voice or make your own in the Voice Studio.

What I found

I asked Karina 15 questions. She answered every one out loud, starting after about 9 seconds, so it feels more like voice messages than a phone call.

Quicker answers, so it feels like a real conversation.

There are tens of thousands of characters, made by the community. The site says 100k+, and its own report studied over 62,000.

You can browse by featured, new and top, filter by tags, and switch between safe-for-work and adult.

AI Peeps is much more than an AI girlfriend app: a whole community of characters with the tools to create, voice, picture, animate and share them. The characters stay in role, remember you and speak in the most natural voices I've heard.

It's slow to reply and to speak, and safe-for-work photos don't always stay clothed. If you want depth and creative tools more than speed, it's one of the best I've tested.
