TalkieMate Review: What You Get for Free & My Test Results

My grade
Average: the average of 5 graded tests (of 10; the others could not be graded).

Tested and written by Miles Foster
I tested the TalkieMate AI girlfriend app on its free tier only, after it declined to give me a Premium account: one 12-message chat with a free character and a memory check. The chat stayed in character and remembered my name, job and hometown, but each reply took about 9 seconds and the 15 free credits ran out after about 12 messages. The results are in the TalkieMate test results.

What Is TalkieMate?
TalkieMate (talkiemate.com) is an adult AI companion site. You chat with characters or roleplay stories, and Premium adds photos, videos, voice replies and live calls.
It's explicit: chats are uncensored and characters flirt openly.
TalkieMate pros and cons
Pros
- Stays in character
- Good memory in a short chat
- Hundreds of characters
- Card or PayPal
Cons
- Replies took about 9 seconds
- Only about 12 free messages
- Pop-ups and paid offers in the chat
- Most features need Premium
TalkieMate Pricing & Value

What it costs
| Plan | Price a month | Credits |

| Premium, 1 month | $9.99 | 100 |
| Premium, 12 months | $7.50 | 400 |
What I think
Premium is reasonably priced, and you can pay by card or PayPal.
The free tier is very small. Each message costs 1 to 3 credits, so my 15 free credits ran out after one 12-message chat. Many characters and every photo cost extra credits to unlock.

What I Couldn't Test
- Making your own
- n/a/5Not scored
- Photos
- n/a/5Not scored
- Videos
- n/a/5Not scored
- Call speed
- n/a/5Not scored
- Voice quality
- n/a/5Not scored
These features need Premium or extra credits, and TalkieMate didn't provide access, so I haven't scored them:
- Creating your own companion (Premium).
- Photos of characters (5 credits each to unlock).
- Videos from photos (Premium).
- Live calls and voice replies (Premium).
If TalkieMate provides access later, I'll test them and update this review.
TalkieMate Chat: Speed, Memory & Personality
- Reply speed
- 1/5Poor
- Memory
- 4/5Good
- Staying in character
- 4/5Good
Text chat with suggested replies. As you chat, you level up and get 'presents'.
I chatted with Olivia Adams, a nutritionist and one of the free characters. Replies were slow: about 9 seconds before the first words.
Memory was good for a short chat. After 12 messages she quoted back my name, job and hometown. She left out my favourite food, though she'd mentioned it earlier.
She stayed in character, turning every answer back to food and health. But the chat kept getting interrupted by pop-up 'presents' and a paid video offer.
The details are in the chat test results.
TalkieMate Characters
- Choice of characters
- 4/5Good
I counted 756 characters (the site says 5,000+): women, men and non-binary, realistic and anime, plus roleplay stories.
On the free tier, many of them cost 3 credits to unlock.
Final verdict: is TalkieMate worth it?
On the free tier, TalkieMate is a taster: a character who stays in role and remembers you, in a slow chat full of pop-ups, with 15 credits that go fast.
Whether Premium is worth $7.50 to $9.99 a month, I can't say. The features you would pay for (photos, videos, voice, calls and the creator) are untested because TalkieMate declined to give me an account. Every number and screenshot is in the full test results, and you can see how it compares on my list of AI girlfriend platforms.
Best for: Trying a flirty AI chat for free before deciding on Premium. Not a full picture: most features are locked.

Hey, I am Miles, and this is RankDude, where I test AI tools hands on and rank them by category. Today it is TalkieMate, from the AI girlfriend category. Quick word on scoring. Every app gets the same ten tests, each one graded from one to five, and the average plus my own take becomes the final score. This one is different, though. I asked TalkieMate for a Premium account and they declined, so this is a limited review of the free tier. TalkieMate landed on a three point two out of five, from the five tests I could do. Let us open it up.
So this is the home page. I counted seven hundred and fifty six characters, though the site says over five thousand: women, men and non binary, realistic and anime, plus roleplay stories. Today the home page also shows a Halloween sale. Before we talk to anyone, let us look at what it costs.
Premium is nine ninety nine a month with a hundred credits, or seven fifty a month on the yearly plan with four hundred. You can pay by card or PayPal. The free tier starts with fifteen credits, and each message costs one to three of them. Many characters cost three credits to unlock, and photos five. Those are the prices I saw on the eighteenth of October, before the sale. Okay, that is the money side. Let us talk to someone.
Three days ago I chatted with Olivia, a nutritionist and one of the free characters. I told her my name was Daniel, that I am a teacher, that I grew up in Glasgow, and that I love lamb curry. I have two credits left, so today I ask her once. The clock runs from the moment I press send until her first words appear. About seven seconds, and she gets it all: Daniel, a Glasgow teacher who loves lamb curry. All four facts, three days later. In my first test the typical reply took about nine seconds, and my fifteen free credits lasted about twelve messages. She stayed in character, turning every answer back to food and health, but the chat kept getting interrupted by pop up presents and a paid video offer. So memory gets a four, staying in character a four, and reply speed a one.
Everything else needs Premium or extra credits: the character creator, photos, videos, live calls and voice replies. TalkieMate did not provide access, so I have not scored any of them. If they do later, I will test them and update the review.
So, where does that leave TalkieMate? On the free tier you get a taste: a character who stays in role and remembers you, in a slow chat full of pop ups, and the free credits go fast. It is a three point two out of five, from five of ten tests, and it does not cover the features you would actually pay for. Every test, every number, and every screenshot is on RankDude, in the full review and on the test results page. And one last thing about RankDude. This is not just one review. For every category we cover, we track all the tools out there, we gather the statistics, we test them the same way, and we keep monitoring them over time. The idea is a clear picture of a whole category, not just one product, and to set the standard for how this kind of data gets collected. The links are in the description. Thanks for watching, and I will see you in the next one.
