Sparkles Review: Features, Pricing & My Test Results

Every app gets the same ten tests, each one graded from one to five, and the average plus my own take becomes the final score. Sparkles landed on a three point two out of five. It has a detailed character creator, and the photos keep the same face. The catch is slow replies and a small library. Here is why. Let us open it up.

So this is the home page. Sparkles has forty eight characters, thirty one realistic and the rest anime, all made by Sparkles. It is an adult app, and most of the cards are explicit, so I have blurred them. Before we talk to anyone, let us look at what it costs.

Premium is fourteen ninety nine a month, eleven ninety nine a month every three months, or nine ninety nine a month on the yearly plan. It includes free Casual chat and a thousand Sparks a month. The Immersive chat mode costs two Sparks a message, a photo twenty, a five second video a hundred, and a call about fifty three Sparks a minute. Chat is the part most people will use, so this is where I spent most of my time. Five days ago I told Liora my name was Maya, that I am a train driver, that I grew up in Lisbon, and that I love spicy ramen. Today I open the same chat and ask her again. She took about eighteen seconds, but she got it: Maya, train driver, Lisbon roots, and spicy ramen. All four facts, five days later. Now Nina, and this time I am timing the replies. The clock runs from the moment I press send until her answer appears. About ten seconds a reply, and she still calls me Jonah, the name I gave her last week. Across my full test the typical reply took about seven seconds, and every reply arrives all at once. None of my ninety two messages failed. Two of three characters remembered everything after thirty one messages, and the third forgot it all. They stay flirty and in role, but they slip on details, like a fortune teller who suddenly has a tail. So memory gets a four, staying in character a three, and reply speed a one. Next, the creator.

The creator is where Sparkles shines. Six steps take you from her age and looks to her voice, personality, job, hobbies and favourite place. There are thirty five jobs, thirty three hobbies and ten voices, but no box to write her backstory. I made Hana, a twenty five year old photographer who loves coffee. Her first message matched my brief, though her eyes came out brown instead of amber. The creator gets a four. Now photos.

Hana kept the same face in all twenty photos, which is rare, and they are sharp and realistic. The problem: six of my ten clothed scenes came out nude, and there is no setting to turn that off. I have blurred them. Photos get a three. The videos are smooth and sharp. Each is about five seconds, with no sound, ready in about three minutes. But you cannot make videos of a character you created, so I used a ready made one. Video gets a four.

Calls answer in about three point three seconds, and the voices sound natural. Here is Hana from my first test. Clear and lively. Sometimes she reads her stage directions out loud, which breaks the moment. Voice quality gets a four, call speed a two. Okay, let us wrap this up.

So, where does that leave Sparkles? It shines when you build your own partner. The creator is detailed, the photos keep her face, and the videos are smooth. It is held back by slow replies, only forty eight characters, and photos that ignore a request for clothes. It is a three point two out of five.
