OurDream Review: Features, Pricing & My Test Results

Hey, I'm Miles, and this is RankDude, where I test AI tools hands on and rank them by category. Today it's OurDream, from the AI girlfriend category. Quick word on scoring. Every app gets the same ten tests, each one graded from one to five, and the average plus my own take becomes the final score. OurDream landed on a four point one out of five. Excellent memory and roleplay, realistic photos, a slow first reply, and a habit of adding nudity you didn't ask for. Here's why. Let's open it up.

So this is the home page. OurDream is built around roleplay characters, and most of them are made by other users. When I went through the library I stopped counting at eight hundred and seventy four, with more still loading. You can filter by gender, style and age, and there are tags for everything from fantasy to goth. I'll be honest, the most popular characters are explicit, so I've blurred the cards. Each one opens a chat, and every chat has a call button. Before we talk to anyone, let's look at what it costs.

OurDream runs on a subscription plus coins. The monthly plan is nineteen ninety-nine, and that gets you unlimited chat and a thousand Dreamcoins a month. Chat itself is free on a plan. A photo costs five coins, so about six cents. A minute on a voice call is ten coins, about twelve cents. And a ten second video is a hundred coins, so about a dollar twenty. If you run out, you can buy more coins, from a thousand for eleven ninety-nine upwards, by card or crypto. I'm testing on an account the OurDream team set up for me, so I couldn't check cancelling or refunds. Okay, that's the money side. Let's build a character.

The creator is six steps. Looks, body, personality, a backstory, and a voice. Every list has about twenty choices plus a custom option, and there are around seventy voices with previews. I am making Marisol again, a twenty seven year old Latina artist with wavy red hair and green eyes. Five coins, and the timer is running. And here she is. She matches what I picked, the red waves, the green eyes, the tan skin, and the picture is sharp. One thing you need to know. Her portrait came out in lingerie without me asking, and in my first test it came out topless. That is a pattern on this site, and I have blurred wherever it happens. So the creator is deep, and it earns a five. Now let us see how she talks.

Chat is the part most people will use, so this is where I spent most of my time. Five days ago I told Allie my name was Nora, that I drive trains, that I grew up in Lisbon, and that I love spicy ramen. Today I open the same chat and ask her again. Nora, train driver, spicy ramen. All correct, and she even teases me for asking a third time. Now a different chat, with Natalie, a community character, and this time I am timing the replies. The clock runs from the moment I press send until the first word appears. Every reply today landed between three and four seconds, and they come in as long, story style messages. Across my full test, the typical first reply took about two and a half seconds. That is slower than the quick apps, which answer in about a second. What comes back is excellent. She stays in her story the whole way through, she catches the trick question, and when my questions got repetitive she called me out, in character. One honest note. When I asked Natalie to repeat my job and my favourite food, she got it wrong. She pulled the answer from an older session on the same thread instead of today's messages. With my own characters, across the full test, memory was perfect, three out of three after thirty one messages. So memory keeps its five, staying in character gets a five, and reply speed a two. Next, photos.

On the Generate page you pick a character and write what you want. I ask for Marisol in a sunlit studio, in a paint stained denim shirt, holding a brush. Five coins. Sixteen seconds for a pair of photos, and here she is. Denim shirt, paint stains, brush in hand, exactly what I asked for, and fully clothed this time. In my full test I made twenty photos of her. Same face in every one, and they look real. Eight of my ten scenes came out exactly as asked. Video is where the habit shows up. I asked for Marisol painting at her easel, and the ten second clip came out nude. When I wrote fully clothed, she stayed clothed. The clips themselves are smooth and consistent, about three minutes to make and about a dollar twenty each. So photos get a four, and video gets a four, with that warning attached. Now let us hear her. Time for a call.

Calls cost about ten coins a minute. I'll ask a few questions, she answers, and the timer shows how long each answer takes. Have a listen. Every answer came back in about a second and a half, so the call feels like a normal conversation. The voice is clear and natural, with real emotion in it. Two small things: on some characters the voice reads the name labels aloud, and one of my calls in the first test ended by itself after about eight minutes. Voice quality gets a four, call speed a three. Okay, let us wrap this up.

So, where does that leave OurDream? It's a standout for roleplay. It remembers everything, it never leaves its story, the creator is deep, and the photos and videos of your own character look real. The catches are a short wait before each reply, a library built mostly for explicit stories, and that habit of adding nudity you didn't ask for. If long roleplay with photos is what you want, it's a four point one out of five and good value at twenty dollars a month.
