Candy AI Review: Features, Pricing & My Test Results

My rating
Perfect memory, characters who never slip, and video with sound. Photos, videos and calls cost tokens.
Best for: chat, photos, video and calls in one app that remembers you. Not for instant replies or all media included.

What Is Candy AI?
Candy AI (candy.ai) is an adult AI girlfriend app. You chat with one of about 269 characters or build your own, then ask for photos, videos and calls. It's made for adults: many characters open with flirty lines, and adult photos and videos are allowed.
It has a long list of features: voice notes, group chats, a scene studio, an outfit shop, achievements and more. Most of the media is paid for with tokens.

- Very real photos with the same face
- Fast voice calls
- Detailed character studio
- Unlimited text chat on every plan

Cons
- Replies take about 3.3 seconds

Candy AI Pricing & Value
- Price
- 4/5Good
What it costs
| Plan | Price a month | Tokens a month |
|---|---|---|
| Premium, 1 month | $13.99 | 100 |
| Premium, 3 months | $8.99 | 100 |
| Premium, 12 months | $3.99 | 100 |
| Premium Plus | More than Premium | 100 + 230 |
Prices as listed in October 2026. Every plan has unlimited text chat. Extra tokens come in packs, from 100 for $9.99 up to 11,470 for $499.99. That's about 10 cents a token.
What things cost in tokens
| Item | Tokens | About |
|---|---|---|
| Photo | 4 | 40 cents |
| 15-second video | 30 | $3 |
| Call, per minute | 3 | 30 cents |
| Create a character | 10 | $1 |
What I think
Chat, photos and calls are good value. The 12-month plan is cheap, and a photo costs about 40 cents.
Video is where it adds up. 100 tokens a month is about three videos. Outfits in the shop cost 75 to 189 tokens, and creator content packs about 285.
Charges show as 'EverAI' on your statement. More in the pricing test results.
Creating Your Own Candy AI Character
- Making your own
- 4/5Good
What it offers
The Character Studio (in beta) lets you set almost everything: age, body, hair, eyes, skin, freckles, makeup, clothes and background. Then you write her personality, her first message and pick a voice. There's also a quicker mode and 342 ready-made looks to start from.
Building Lucia, step by step
I made Lucia: Latina, 27, slim, curly auburn hair, green eyes, light freckles, tan skin, a knit sweater, at a city café. She's a caring illustrator from Seville with a grumpy cat called Churro.
Her look came back in about 18 seconds, and it was free. You get six free tries. Almost every choice showed up: the curls, the auburn hair, the freckles, the tan skin, the sweater and the café.
The one miss: her eyes came out hazel, not the clear green I picked.
The result
Bringing her to life cost 10 tokens and took about 12 seconds. Candy wrote her bio from my text, and she was ready to chat.
She looks great: real, warm and just like my brief. Her first message didn't fit, though. It was a generic flirty line ('are we behaving?'), not her caring side. You can edit it.
In chat she was spot on. Over 24 replies she never slipped. Asked about pets: 'Oh yeah, Churro. He's a grumpy old cat who hates everyone but me.' Asked about home, she missed Seville's orange trees.
One thing to know: in a new chat, you can't ask for photos until she likes you more. The relationship starts at 'Stranger' and photos unlock at 'Friend'. She still sent me one on her own.
The details are in the customization test results.
Candy AI Chat: Speed, Memory & Personality
- Reply speed
- 2/5Below average
- Memory
- 5/5Excellent
- Staying in character
- 5/5Excellent
What it offers
Text chat with lots of settings: six chat models, reply length, a texting style (short texts or long replies), narration and your own style notes. Characters also message you first, with photos and voice notes.
What I found
Replies are a bit slow. They took about 3.3 seconds, and arrive all at once instead of word by word. One message never got a reply. AIGirlfriends.ai answered almost instantly in my tests.
Memory is perfect. I told three characters a made-up name and three things about me. After 31 messages, all three remembered everything.
Dahye even remembered on a call, asked where she'd travel (the audio is in the voice section below).
They never left character. Dahye stayed a shy exchange student, Harriet the new girl at the office, and Kenzie a cheeky creator. The only odd moment came in a quick extra chat, when Harriet answered a beach question with 'Here's the photo.'
The timings are in the chat test results.
Candy AI Photos & Videos
- Photos
- 4/5Good
- Videos
- 5/5Excellent
What it offers
Photo and video buttons in every chat. You describe the scene in the chat, then press Image or Video. There are six poses for photos, and videos are 15 seconds long with sound.
What I found
The photos look very real, and Dahye had the same face in every one. Most matched the scene I asked for, but one office scene came out on a sofa. Each took 20 to 55 seconds.
The video is excellent. I asked for Dahye reading in a library. She turns pages and points at the book, smoothly, with the same face from start to finish. And it has sound.
The numbers are in the image and video test results.
Candy AI Voice Calls & Voice Notes
- Call speed
- 4/5Good
- Voice quality
- 4/5Good
What it offers
Call any character from the chat, for 3 tokens a minute. Characters also send short voice notes in chat.
What I found
I called Dahye, Harriet and Kenzie and asked each the same 8 questions. They answered in about 1.5 seconds, which feels like a real call. A call takes about 6 seconds to connect.
The voices sound natural and lively. Now and then a word sounds a little computer-made. Listen for yourself:

The voice notes in chat use the same voices, in clips of about 6 seconds. The full numbers are in the voice test results.
Candy AI Characters
- Choice of characters
- 3/5Average
There are about 269 characters: realistic women, anime girls and guys. There are also 'Digital Twins' of real adult creators.
The number is good, but many characters share the same few stories, like step-family and 'friend's mom' set-ups. So it feels smaller than it is.
Additional Features
Candy AI has a long list of extras. None of them add to the score, but here's what each one does.
- Group chats: chat with 2 or 3 characters at once.
- About you: profiles that tell characters who you are.
- Gifts and reactions: send gifts and react to messages with emoji.
- Candy Studio: build a short scene with a helper called Copilot. Clips are 5 seconds and cost 40 tokens.
- Build video: pick a character, an action and a place, and get a video.
- Candy Shop: outfits your characters wear, bought with tokens.
- Collection: every photo and video you've made, saved by character.
- Achievements: 134 goals with points, like sending 1,000 messages.
- Shorts: a series of adult episodes to watch.
- Private Content: paid photo and video packs from creators.
- Candy Creators: Digital Twins of real creators you can chat with.
- Candy Cams: live cam shows with real performers.
- Invite rewards: 100 tokens when a friend you invite upgrades.
- Help bot: a Candy assistant in your chat list answers questions.
- No feed: there's no social feed of character posts.
Final verdict: is Candy AI worth it?
Candy AI is worth it if you want one app that does it all. The characters remember everything and never break character, and the photos, the video with sound and the calls are all strong.
Know two things before you pay: replies take about 3 seconds, and media costs tokens on top of the plan. If you make a lot of videos, the 100 monthly tokens won't last long. Every number and screenshot is in the full test results, and you can see how it compares on my list of AI girlfriend platforms.
Best for: People who want one app that does it all: a girlfriend who remembers you, photos, video with sound and calls. Not for anyone who wants every reply instantly or all media included.

Hey, I'm Miles, and this is RankDude, where I test AI tools hands on and rank them by category. Today it's Candy AI, from the AI girlfriend category. Quick word on scoring. Every app gets the same ten tests, each one graded from one to five, and the average plus my own take becomes the final score. Candy landed on a four point eight out of five. Perfect memory, characters who never break, fifteen second videos with sound and fast calls. The catches are a short wait on each reply and the cost of tokens. Here's why. Let's open it up.
So this is the home page. Candy has about two hundred and seventy ready made characters, realistic, anime and guys, plus digital twins of real adult creators. You can filter by ethnicity, age and hair, and a lot of the cards are explicit, so I've blurred them. There is a lot more on the menu than chat: shorts, a shop of outfits, a scene studio, achievements and group chats. Before we talk to anyone, let's look at what it costs.
Candy runs on a subscription plus tokens. Premium is thirteen ninety nine for one month, eight ninety nine a month if you take three, or three ninety nine a month for a year. Every plan has unlimited chat and a hundred tokens a month. Tokens come in packs, from a hundred for nine ninety nine, so about ten cents each. A photo is four tokens, so about forty cents. A minute on a call is three tokens. A fifteen second video is thirty tokens, about three dollars, which means a hundred tokens buys you about three videos. Charges show up as EverAI on your statement. I'm testing on an account the Candy team set up for me, so I couldn't check cancelling or refunds. Okay, that's the money side. Let's look at the creator.
The Character Studio lets you set almost everything. Ethnicity, age, body, hairstyle, clothes, skin, eyes, hair colour and background. I'm going for an Asian woman with straight black hair and brown eyes, in a knit sweater. The base look is free. You get six free tries, and the timer is running. Six and a half seconds, and here she is. Straight black hair, brown eyes, the knit sweater and the café, all as I picked. After that you write her personality, up to four thousand characters, pick a greeting and a voice. Bringing her to life costs ten tokens. I built Lucia this way on my first test, a children's book illustrator from Seville with a grumpy cat called Churro. And here she is. Let's say hello. Four seconds, and she answers in character: a little fox with a tiny umbrella, and Churro tried to sit on it. The one miss on my first test was her eyes, hazel instead of the green I picked. So the creator gets a four. Now let's see how the others talk.
Chat is the part most people will use, so this is where I spent most of my time. Two days ago I told Kenzie my name was Tomas, that I'm a baker, that I grew up in Krakow, and that I love potato pierogi. Today I open the same chat and ask her again. Under two seconds. Tomas, the baker from Krakow who loves pierogi, and she teases me for checking. All four facts, two days later. Now Harriet, and this time I'm timing the replies. The clock runs from the moment I press send until her answer appears. Candy replies arrive whole, not word by word. Today every reply landed in one to two seconds, quicker than on my first test, and she still knew I was Daniel, the teacher. Across my full test, thirty three timed replies, the typical answer took about three point three seconds. The quick apps answer in about a second. What comes back is spot on. All three characters remembered everything after thirty one messages, and none of them ever left character. Harriet talked about her office and her dad's jokes, and Kenzie stayed cheeky the whole way through. So memory gets a five, staying in character a five, and reply speed a two. Next, photos.
In any chat you press Image, and she sends you a photo. Four tokens. Here's Dahye. Twelve seconds, and here she is, in a cream hoodie, drawing at her desk in the library. In my full test the photos looked very real, and every character had the same face every time. Most written scenes came out as asked, though one office scene ended up on a sofa. So photos get a four. Video is made from one of her photos. Fifteen seconds, thirty tokens. It takes a few minutes, so I'll skip ahead. Here it is. She keeps drawing, looks up and smiles, and it has sound. That earned a top score for video with sound. Smooth, the same face from start to finish, and it has sound. So video gets a five. Now let's hear her. Time for a call.
Calls cost three tokens a minute, and she picks up in about six seconds. I'll ask a few questions, she answers, and the timer shows how long each answer takes. Have a listen. Every answer started in under two seconds, so it feels like a real conversation. The voices sound natural and lively, and now and then a word sounds a little synthetic. Call speed gets a four, and voice quality a four. Okay, let's wrap this up.
So, where does that leave Candy AI? It earned top scores for video with sound, memory and staying in character. Characters who remember you and never break, photos with the same face, fifteen second videos with sound, and calls that answer fast. The catches are a wait of about three seconds on each reply, and tokens, because a hundred a month goes quickly once you start making videos. If you want one app that does it all, it's a four point eight out of five, and the yearly plan is cheap at three ninety nine a month. Every test, every number, and every screenshot is on RankDude, in the full review and on the test results page. And one last thing about RankDude. This isn't just one review. For every category we cover, we track all the tools out there, we gather the statistics, we test them the same way, and we keep monitoring them over time. The idea is a clear picture of a whole category, not just one product, and to set the standard for how this kind of data gets collected. The links are in the description. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you in the next one.
