AI Peeps Review: Features, Pricing & My Test Results

Hey, I'm Miles, and this is RankDude, where I test AI tools hands on and rank them by category. Today it's AI Peeps, from the AI girlfriend category. Quick word on scoring. Every app gets the same ten tests, each one graded from one to five, and the average plus my own take becomes the final score. AI Peeps landed on a four point one out of five. Superb characters, very natural voices and a huge library. The catches are slow replies and photos that don't always stay safe for work. Here's why. Let's open it up.

So this is the home page. AI Peeps is built by its community, and the site says there are more than a hundred thousand characters, realistic and anime, each with a scenario, tags and ratings. A lot of them are explicit, so I've blurred the cards. You can chat, generate photos and videos, use voice, and enter competitions. Before we talk to anyone, let's look at what it costs.

AI Peeps has three plans. Peep Chat is eight ninety nine a month for unlimited chat, Peep Pal fourteen ninety nine, and Peep Pro twenty nine ninety nine with thirty nine hundred PeepCoins a month. A photo costs ten coins, about eleven cents, and a ten second video costs about ninety cents to a dollar eighty. You can pay by card, crypto, or a gift code. I'm testing on an account the AI Peeps team set up for me, so I couldn't check cancelling or refunds. Okay, that's the money side. Let's look at the creator.

The creator is very detailed. Look, personality and story, with country, ethnicity, age, voice, style tags, body, hair, eyes, glasses, outfit, seven personality sliders, hobbies, quirks and a bio. On my first test I made Hana. She was ready in about fifteen seconds and knew her whole story in chat. But the style box comes filled with random tags, and one I missed turned her portrait into a cyborg in armour. So the creator gets a four. Now let's see how they talk.

Chat is the part most people will use, so this is where I spent most of my time. A few days ago I told Vivian my name was Daniel, that I'm a teacher, that I grew up in Glasgow, and that I love lamb curry. Today I open the same chat and ask her again. Five seconds to the first word. Daniel, teacher, Glasgow, lamb curry. All four facts, three days later, told in her own style. Now Karina, and this time I'm timing the replies. The clock runs from the moment I press send until her answer appears. Eight seconds for the first reply, and thirteen for the second. She answers in character, and she still gets Canberra right. Across my full test the typical first word took about five seconds, and a full reply more than twenty. The quick apps answer in about a second. What comes back is rich. All three characters stayed fully in their stories. Memory was good but not perfect: one said I'd never told her my job, and another forgot where I grew up. So memory gets a four, staying in character a five, and reply speed a one. Next, photos.

On the image page you pick a character and write what you want. I ask for Selena in a cafe, in a white blouse, holding a coffee. Ten PeepCoins. About a minute, and here she is. Cafe, white blouse, coffee in both hands. Exactly as asked, and clothed this time. In my full test every photo kept the same face. The problem is safe for work prompts: on my retest, half of them came back nude or partly nude. So photos get a three. Videos are made from a photo. This is from my first test. Angela waves and tucks her hair behind her ear, smoothly and with real sound. A ten second clip took about seven minutes. Started from a photo, the beach clip opens in the right scene and moves very smoothly. Video gets a four.

AI Peeps has voice chat rather than phone calls. You speak or type, and she answers out loud. Here are two of Karina's spoken replies from my first test. That's the highest speech quality I've measured, clear, warm and evenly paced. The catch is speed: spoken replies took about nine seconds to start. Voice quality gets a four, voice speed a one. Okay, let's wrap this up.

So, where does that leave AI Peeps? The characters are superb. They stay in their stories, they mostly remember you, and they speak in natural, expressive voices. There's a huge library and a deep creator. The catches are slow replies, and photos that don't always stay safe for work.
